That's all waaaay too much, but I am still excited to pick some of these up at, say, Target when they come out. I'm crossing my fingers for a per-pack retail price of around $5, not sure I can justify much more than that on 10 random cards. The Kickstarter seems to bear this out, as the "Collector Series Box" comes with 24 packs for $144, which is $6 per pack, not including said box...

They've now made like 9x their funding goals, so SOMEONE is buying these. The cards look a lot like the old 80's card set, using a lot of the packaging art with coloured backgrounds, but that set used some images from the cartoon and this one seems to be focused on toy and comic art.

Doesn't look like this thread is getting any traction. Are these being talked about in another thread I missed (I looked, honest!), or are people not feeling the topic?

I know I personally am not into collecting cards. I do think the art work is cool on these though.

I like the artwork, but the money I would spend on cards is the same money I spend on TF figures, Lego, movies, and comics. Gotta draw the line somewhere...

I do love the comic focus on this new card set. (Reminds me I should dig out my old 80s TF cards and put them into my new card binder alongside my old Jim Lee X-Men and X-Files cards. And now I'm curious what my brother did with his TMNT sets from back in the day...)

Oh I remember the X-Files set had some cool holograms.

The new binder in this kickstarter looks pretty alright, though it's definitely 2x what it should cost. I wonder if that will be available at retail too?
