KO Missing Link Prime is on the way to my doorstep! What is great about this is that as the shipping is really cheap, it's significantly cheaper than the original (even living in Japan) and possibly has more diecast parts (so it might have the same amount as the original G1 version)?

unluckiness

Somehow still sane

Don't have a horse in this race either way but those eyes are terrible. They didn't even fill out the sculpted space all the way.

Nose should be blue too.

KO G1 "Piranhacon" Volcanicus.

Get it at Ali Express.

Broke down and bought one of these off ebay. It arrived last night and I absolutely love it. Quality isn't Hasbro-level, but was significantly better than I was expecting. I'll get some pictures and post more about it soon. I absolutely love this sort of "alternate universe G1" product.

I'm still wanting to get one for the same reason.

Are you aware of (a much more expensive) contender for your universe?

I am and I do have it. Got it on deeeep clearance a few years ago, long after it came out. It is wonderful. I love the attention to detail, the packaging, the way it feels like it absolutely could have been a late G1 release.

Some of those are still on deep clearance on BBTS. If one doesn't mind mirrored limbs instead of all different, you could even get enough to combine them. I've been thinking about it.

Wish there were a bunch of the Megazero (the elk) still available. He folds up nicely and fits in the Earthrise Optimus Prime trailer, so I'd like to have a spare one to use as a reindeer "Roller" inside of Holiday Optimus's trailer. Unfortunately, that seems to be the one component that isn't available anywhere.

These aren't really knock offs so much as "random small company cashing in on the transforming robot craze in the 80's".

Working in Ohio for a couple of days, and I stopped by a vintage toy shop. They had these in a case with a bunch of Hot Wheel type cars. I didn't recognize them, but he wasn't charging much to begin with and he cut me a deal if I bought all 6 that he had. Did a little digging back at the hotel and found out that they are Switch Bots from LJN.

And they combine into the Evil Megabot (I'm sadly missing the combiner kibble, so this is incomplete)

Here's some pictures off ebay showing his instructions and what he SHOULD look like if I had all the accessories:

As you can see from the Orange Crunch package, all of these had the same gimmick as the Transformers Sparkbots. They all have friction motors with sparking action that either shot out the front of the vehicles or lit up the lights on the truck bots. None of those really work anymore, sadly. I was able to get a tiny spark or two, but nothing like what I'm sure they did back when they were new.

OH MY GOSH CAPTAIN DESTROYER!!!!

He led my villains of various different factions for a long, long time. My grandma had a friend whose birthday was right after Christmas. She'd invite family and friends over and give people presents, and I got this from her one year. Never got any of the others (ok, so looking these over, I may not have missed out on much, and Captain Destroyer's arms did give out after a while because they were pretty soft plastic) but wow, this is a cool nostalgia hit.
