Didn't find a dedicated thread with Search, so here we go. Full trailer is out for Daredevil: Born Again.

This is my main point of interest in it:

Metering out episodes 1 week at a time like it is old broadcast days, when I just found out the actor playing a main character this season died in 2023.

I'll be feeling really grumpy if Andor starts before DareDevil ends and we're going both of these week to week at once.

PBS has a free AppleTV app that does week to week, but if you donate to PBS, they let you get ahead. I do an annual payment for Disney+. I'm not cancelling as soon as this show is done. I wish they trusted me.

Edit - Looks like Andor starts the day DareDevil stops.

I feel weird about saying this because Daredevil's power is difficult to pin down and always does require a certain suspension of belief, but I feel like him recognizing a person by feeling a painting a whole order of magnitude higher.

I'm also pretty iffy on the police facial recognition recognizing someone in a painting. The paintings were good. I recognized her, but there was expressive color and I'm not sure what the software goes on. Is a painting good enough?

I definitely didn't expect
DareDevil to die
with an episode and season left.

One of those deaths was probably the most violent I have ever seen on TV.

Is there definitely no way Spiderman can appear on this show next season? And when is next season? In a couple weeks?

I mean, had this been on HBO or Starz? Not a big surprise. But on Disney? I think THAT is what surprised me about that death. I’m actually shocked Disney let that slide.

But no, don’t expect Spider-Man. As is, I think this show is another that really demonstrates the broader issues of a “shared universe”. So many heroes are based in and around New York, are you telling me that NOBODY besides the Punisher was around to help address? Echo? Kate Bishop? If anything, I think Daredevil (and a LOT of the MCU TV series) show that a smaller scale “sub universe” like the CW is probably a better fit than trying to fit (or ignore) these series into the wider MCU range of projects.

I would NOT expect season 2 this year. With Disney’s more narrow focus on releases and concession to not ”overlapping” major series, I don’t see a place for Daredevil season 2 this year. We have Andor on deck starting next week, then (supposedly) Ironheart this summer with this fall seeing X-Men 97 season 2, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and Wonderman.

There were quite a few locked up, including Swordsman. We don't know where Echo is operating. I don't know about Kate, but these goons are really no match for Spiderman or Ms Marvel, but maybe neither of those really wants to have a fight with police either.

I was kidding about a few weeks. It looks like the best guess is about a year. They are already making it.

I figured we would have a cliffhanger. So there were actually 4 of 5 times in this episode that I thought, "Oh, that's probably it" but it kept going. I like where they left it. But a criminal taking over the mayor's office and using it to do crimes? Don't you think that's a little farfetched even for TV?

The sarcasm in your last two sentences is so thick, you could cut it with a butter knife.

I agree that the timing was pretty much immaculate.

I had a really hard time feeling motivated to watch this. I don't know if it was the absolutely glacial pacing (they could have easily chopped 2 or 3 eps off and still told the story) or the plot hitting far too close to the real world right now, but it usually took me until the weekend to drag myself over to Disney+ to watch the new ep.
