Everything Hasbro put out at that time used Dreamwave art. It was Hasbro's new "house style".
And Commemorative Series did not begin using Dreamwave art. The first few waves used the original G1 box art instead.

Thrilling 30 was specifically made to be "IDW1: The Toyline", but only after the IDW1 comics had already long since established themselves. Many of the toys were based on comic-original designs, instead of the comic designs being based on toys. In Thrilling 30's case, it was made to advertise...
...It's a subline. Walmart's not gonna carry all of those and treat it like a main line.

'Tis what happens when a comic that isn't trying to sell toys is forced to try selling toys, but still tries its darndest to continue not doing that like it had before and after.
I feel like the Retro Generations line is set to be this line's replacement for next year, based on how Walmart's recent reissue sublines have alternated with 1980s-themed sublines of modern figures.

He was and he wasn't. That part of his body changed colors whenever he transformed. In bug mode, it was purple. In robot mode, it was gray.
Guess this means they have to bring back the old Color Changers gimmick from Generation 2 in order to give us a completely accurate Bombshell.
