    Star Trek General Discussion

I feel like the best option would just be a Picard-era cameo, like a reference to Kai Kira, or mention Jake Sisko as an award-winning novelist, or maybe have Colm Meaney show up as a semi-retired Miles.

No, but they are both cops.

    MYM - Chap5, Ep6: "Nightmare on Mane Street"...................(SPOILERS)

Could easily have ended it with Pipp still stuck in the closet from trying to prank Misty. Maybe someone opens the closet to put things away and Pipp tumbles out, and that's what gets Misty to scream.

Hey, what do you think she is, a Cutie Mark Crusader!

    Transformers: The Basics

As I've said before: I love that the token girl is a heavy named "Strongarm." I'm a little troubled that the cop is a heavy named "Strongarm."

Transformer Alt Modes as a metaphor for Self-Determination?

"The fact that Mr. Trump acts exactly like a poorly-written 1980s cartoon supervillain is not our responsibility."

    Star Trek General Discussion

Taurik actually goes on to become a fairly major character in the Relaunch novels; he ends up as Deputy Chief Engineer (i.e., Geordi's second-in-command). Notably, Taurik has an identical twin, Vorik (played by the same actor), who shows up on Voyager. (Originally supposed to be the same...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Mainly the Buzzsaws, Torpedoes, and Cyclones; the ones that transform into inanimate objects (and which appear to be nigh-invulnerable when transformed). The Weaponizers and Activators are more similar to the classic Armada-style Minicons, so I don't feel any real need to justify them (though...

No, I see Fixit as something else. Maybe some kind of possibly-sparked ancestor of the Diagnostic Drone.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

I've already worked Rock Lords into my continuity, so I guess I can parse these guys as representing the first generation of Cybertronians to land on Quartex, who haven't yet fully adapted. So it would go Armorizers (Cybertronians wearing armour) -> Rock Lords (built to use native rock as...

Transformer Alt Modes as a metaphor for Self-Determination?

That's what I do in my fan-verse; the ancient 13-related Decepticons (who served Megatronus before he became The Fallen) were Cybertron's warrior class, who served to protect communities and enforce peace. After the War of the Primes, they were eventually replaced by the Autobots, who were more...

    Star Trek Lower Decks

I think it's less a Lower Decks thing than a Starfleet thing. Everybody in the fleet is an exceptional individual just by virtue of being there (if they weren't, they wouldn't have made it through the Academy, or even wanted to). That's the aspirational part of it; anyone can be special, and...

    Ahsoka - streaming on Disney+

Yeah, so Thrawn knows that Anakin=Vader, and he knows that Ahsoka logically must have had a Master, he just doesn't have the one piece that connects those two facts ().

Transformer Alt Modes as a metaphor for Self-Determination?

I just hate on-the-fly reformatting because it makes everything too easy. Plus it obliviates the whole need to be Transformers as opposed to T-1000-style shapeshifters that can just turn into anything at any time.
