I always assume it's a variation on the "customer service" philosophy: if you make a customer happy, they'll tell one or two people. If you make a customer mad, they'll tell everyone they can. So, the "noisiest" people on teh interwebs remain the minority. I also assume they have an algorithm...
That would be very tempting, but I guess I wish they went ahead and upsized him too or priced it a bit lower (While, it is less than half the official version, that doesn't account for the inflated pricing everything Macross begins with).

Yeah - as much as I dug Animated Omega Supreme it seems like a real stretch to burn a Haslab spot on him. It would be a tough buy for me and I still even have my Animated figures on display!

All I know is they waited way too long to make Rhinox and now I've put all my BW MPs away because the regular line has done it so well (though Rhinox is the one I still don't think they've gotten quite right).
Yeah - it's not unusual for the advances to be made in the more expensive products before trickling down to the regular stuff. It's like how Mercedes was known for introducing really high tech stuff first, but eventually you could find it in a Hyundai.
