I don't have many of my original Tfs left. There are a couple Powerdashers, Optimus' trailer and a KO Starscream I bought at a five and dime. But this guy is still standing tall (and yellow)
I don't think the Power Armor was particularly nerfed. To put it in game terms, it was being piloted by a complete n00b while he attacked some very high-level individuals. And the Brotherhood has always been pretty ambiguous.
But yeah - it was a fantastic season and I'm glad it's been renewed.
The jokes don't bother me here because for whatever reason they don't feel as forced? I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's a different quality. And yeah as someone else mentioned, things will need to get fairly dark by the end.
I suppose the "best case" at the end could be for D-16 to...
I too am a misanthropic hermit, but I'm going to make a point to see it in theaters if possible just because I'd like to support this type of story-telling that feels far away from Bay's touch. I will ALSO choose a late Tuesday morning showing though... :D
I thought using the Rolling Stones was an odd choice too, then I realized that the target audience likely doesn't even know who the Stones are, so it's a "new" song to them. And I also imagine it's likely only for the trailer (and maybe the second or third song during the credits).
I wonder if they're hoping to catch the back-to-school crowd which might lead into good holiday sales? I don't even know if things work that way any more, but it seems reasonable. I assume it's also because they don't want to go up against the big end-of-year family titles coming out (to include...
Add me to the pleasantly-surprised-it-looks-like-fun team. The humor feels more natural than we've seen before, and the VA direction feels much less "reading from a script as it's being written" of the Netflix series anyway. And Hemsworth has a good young-Optimus voice.
I mean is it though? The long-standing rules of forums going back to BBS days is to not spam them, which is ultimately what it results in. It's honestly pretty funny because it's almost like clockwork. Someone will post something new to any given thread and two to three posts later, here comes...
Watched the 1st episode of S5 and enjoyed it for the most part. I'm hopeful that the storytelling style of Strange New Worlds is being carried into this to make it a bit less tedious.
It's an interesting premise for the season and I'll be curious to see how it winds up.
And hey look -...
Happened to be in Fort Worth and the clouds only cooperated for ten or fifteen seconds at totality - the biggest cloud of the day stalled directly in front of it; it was like an Oatmeal cartoon. Still, at least got to see it for a moment or two.
Save the cheerleader, save the world!
Yeah, the Siege mold does a nice job, but there's just something so cool about the clean lines if they can get it right. I'd have no problem buying them again. I still have the Impossible Toys trio just for alt-mode.
Agreed. It's somewhat ironic that now that
Same. It's somewhat ironic that once "tank" became Megatron's normal alt-mode, we never actually see the original G2 tank silhouette for his bot mode (Legends class aside), all because they want to match the P38=based chest.
100% agree. While accurate to the original toy, I think it's partly the difference between being painted and being molded in that color because yeah - he has some uncanny valley going on looking like he's made of flesh.
