So much this. Powermaster Prime was the only Optimus I had as a kid, so I've got a lot of nostalgia for him. I never bought the Titans Return version as I didn't really feel it was quite there, design wise, but the way that the current design team has impressed me, I would love to see their...
Tow Line is interesting. I don't really know the character, but I do like the mold. I can see myself buying it for use as Junkion combiner bits if nothing else.
Honestly, between him and the Mad Max-esque Terrorcons from RotB, I'm starting to put a whole Planet Junk epic together in my...
Since the club isn't really concerned with maintaining copyrights or anything, I don't think it matters to anyone too much what they call their figures.
Agreed. I pretty much ignored the Unicron Trilogy fiction, but I picked up several of the toys that I felt looked good with my existing collection (which was pretty small at the time as I had just recently gotten into collecting). Cybertron especially had a very "neo-G1" look to a lot of the...
I don't have any sentimental attachment to Armada at all, but that is a pretty good looking figure. If it were to be released in the Powerlinx / Magna Convoy color scheme, I might bite on it.
Ah, I think it was the "c" instead of "k" that was throwing me off. I do know that one.
Agreed on scrubber, though. I would only know that as "a thing or person that scrubs."
While I admit that "Goosher" doesn't actually mean anything offensive (that I know of), I can't help but find it to be an extremely off-putting word, the way that some people have an aversion to the word "moist."
And I guess that's all why I feel pretty "m'eh". Essentially, it doesn't bother me that he was originally called that, but I have no major beef with the change if it makes things easier in the international market.
I'll be honest, I still have no idea what the two bolded ones are. Clearly...
Honestly, I've always felt pretty "m'eh" about all that. Like, I do get that those words are offensive slang terms, but not in the country of origin of the figure. I'm not even sure if those are still popular terms over in England, or if they've become fairly old and removed from the popular...
It does look pretty good, doesn't it? My only complaint is that the forearm that's made out of Swoop's legs is hollow in the front. I can forgive a lot of hollow back-of-limbs, but that's pretty much front and center.
Still, though, I'm 100% on board for this and the Dino King repaint.
We're in the process of renovating a new house and I'll have an office for the first time. It's going to be mostly shelves. Pretty excited about it, as up until now I just had a small set of shelves in the basement and everything else was just stored in boxes.
Agreed. I usually go for Pulse first, since I paid to be a premium member so I might as well try to get my money's worth out of the free shipping. Anything that I miss out on from there, though, BBTS is my go-to. Always been very happy with their selection, service, and the Pile of Loot...
