    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

I'm not interested in a Megatron who turns into a gun in this day and age. I'm also not interested in a SS86 Megatron who, by turning into anything else, isn't actually accurate to the cartoon. Just put him in another line.

I can't speak for others, but I'd rather have given Blaster an opaque cassette door than force an entire cassette Transformer to be made out of clear plastic.

That's the best explanation I've heard, although it's very much a "what's wrong with you people?" line of thinking. Seriously, making the cassette-bots clear plastic... insanity....

This sure looks like clear plastic to me... https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:Shattered_Glass_Collection_Rewind.jpg

I've certainly heard others assert the same. Ridiculous decision, IMHO, but it does nonetheless seem to be what they did.

    Star Trek General Discussion

I'm guessing it's just because blue is closer (in theory) to green. At least most of the later ones didn't make him the captain like the first picture did (in order, again, to maintain his traditional color scheme).

Transformers movie and season 3: how could they have been done better and got a full season 4 and maybe more seasons?

It's worth noting that even those notable exceptions tended to have much smaller handfuls of episodes in their later seasons (this is fairly apparent with TMNT, but RGB was rather haphazard, so it's not quite the same. Still, not even half as many extra episodes as TF [Wikipedia only gives RGB...

Transformers movie and season 3: how could they have been done better and got a full season 4 and maybe more seasons?

My confusion stems from the idea that the OP seems to assume that, had Season 3 been of better quality (or had better ratings?), we'd have gotten a full Season 4. I'm not at all confident that such would have been the case. Once a few seasons of even good cartoons are in the bag, it's pretty...

The US Supreme Court and its decisions

I'm not going to say that the one-year limit is the right one, but 30 years is ridiculously long. Court cases aren't primarily about the precedent they set. They're about the case in front of them. 30 years is far too long.

Based on the Ross sightings, this sounds more like late deliveries from the warehouse rather than a new production run.

The US Supreme Court and its decisions

Or maybe 30 years really is too long a time to bring a claim to the court? This isn't some conspiracy.

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

I'm reminded that the adage that says that, if the penalty for breaking the law is a fine, then it's legal for the rich.

Have you tried adding the 001 to the beginning of that (13 digits)?

That's fitting, as I always saw Movieverse Hound as more of a Bulkhead anyway.

I'm not about to defend the Legend figure's accuracy, but if some folks like it, it's not okay for you to insult their tastes. They're just wheels on a toy, for crying out loud!

Yeah, San Francisco is pretty prohibitive.... (But, didn't you hear, Musk isn't the richest guy in the world anymore.)

Yeah, it was a clear enough homage, and I appreciate the attempt, but there's no way I can accept that it's the same device, or even an updated version of it.

I suspect that this confusion wasn't helped by the fact of the Marvel Comics, which featured a different Decepticon underwater base that did turn out to be a spaceship (though still not the one used to arrive from Cybertron in the first place).
