Are we getting a Windcharger figure?

Has there been any news if we’re getting a proper Windcharger figure anytime soon? For Studio Series 86, Legacy, etc? I’ve been trying to collect the original G1 cast, and Windcharger is the only one I need to complete the original Autobot crew (I have Power of the Primes Windcharger, but he’s the wrong scale compared to everyone else).

There's no sign of Windcharger. I imagine he's on the table since Gears was received pretty well, but it could be a while. It's wild, but the 1984 cast really isn't Hasbro's overriding priority anymore.

We just finally got Buzzsaw, who I was really starting to doubt was ever coming. I have to believe Windcharger has got to be coming soon now that he's the only '84 bot who hasn't gotten a WfC/Legacy/SS86 update. My guess is we'll probably see him next year.

I would be surprised if we didn't get a Windcharger and Powerglide in the next few years. They make sense for crossing off the list, and have plenty of redeco/retool potential.

Windcharger wouldn't even have to be particularly novel; just do what they did with Beachcomber and enhance/upsize the POTP base.

Windcharger's monster truck wheels and Bumblebee's penny-racer shape (Cliffjumper, too) are part of what I like about the original minibots. The cartoony proportions are fun.

They'll use half of the paint apps to create a multi-colored glob of gum on the right front wheel that keeps the wheel from turning.

Actually, besides Bumblebee and Gears, the other Walmart Retro G1 listings were Brawn and Seaspray. So we’ll probably be getting him sooner than Windcharger

But I fully expect Windcharger to be on docket, being a G1 84 character and the fact his base alt mode and general design lends themselves to a number of retools And repaints. Tail-Gate, Wipeout, and Camero (SG Windcharger) are off the top of my head, much less if the tooling was utilized for other characters.

I really want to get a Wipe-Out. I didn't know about the United version back when he came out. I'm tempted to get one off eBay, but I'm not in love with that mold and would much rather get just him.

So naturally, he'll be in a Target 4-pack if he ever happens...

Oh, but Wipe-Out did get a new toy. He's the Titan Master of Full-Tilt included with Titan class Trypticon, albeit renamed as "Necro".
