Customs Chromed Legacy G1 Optimus Prime

Since I'm not getting any Missing Link toys, I decided to use my chrome markers to zazz up the G1 Universe Optimus Prime from Legacy. I did end up leaving the side stripe as factory silver paint, and not messing with the face. I did discover the whole window piece just pops out, in case anyone wants to try painting the windows some clear color or whatnot.

Transforming the toy did damage a bit of the chrome on the outer faces of the thighs, due to those hard to seat tabs that go in the thigh stress slots, but the tabs on the fuel tanks went into slots on the elbows without damaging the chrome through the Pledge Future coating.

I have no experience doing customizations but I absolutely must do this. I don't care if it gets damaged. At this point, a G1 Prime with worn chrome looks more familiar than one with totally intact chrome.

I was tempted to drybrush some yellow onto the edges, although I don't actually know what the color under G1 Prime's chrome was. Soooo many original Insecticons out there with yellow under the chrome, though.
