That it looks to be doing the exact same thing as other copy-pasted live-action remakes like Aladdin, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast: Retreading the exact same story beat-for-beat, right down to using the same songs, even, (thus requiring it to keep all of the same story contexts of the original in order for those songs to make sense) with minimalist effort made to justify the necessity of its own existence as a separate work from the original, beyond the shallow reason of "Now it's in live-action!"
I see this and I'm like "I've seen this movie already. A million times over. What's the point of
this one?"
At least the Cinderella remake actually tried to be not so much a remake of the Disney original but more its own unique version of the story, only reusing some character names from the Disney original without taking much else from it, which allowed that movie to feel instead like a completely new telling of the classic fairy tale. And all for the better.
