March 24th, 11.59 ET / 03:59 AM GMT / 04:59 AM CET is the closing for this and so far, it has less than 3500 backers

Being kinda harsh for a campaign that just launched today.

In case a history lesson is in order. This is in regard to last year's HasLab (Omega Prime)
The core set reached 50% funding in only 24 hours and was funded overall within 10 days (February 9)—vastly outperforming the records of all prior Transformer HasLab projects.

The Liokaiser HasLab is now only about 7 or 8 hours old (it started before it's official start time of noon EST), and is already at more than a third of the goal. That's not at all bad.

The frame nonsense is something tolerable on mass retail releases. For $300 plus retailer markup or the hassle of acquiring one, I expect more than a pair of pants you accessorize with smaller robots. If any release was going to come up with some novel but expensive engineering to make a big robot out of smaller ones, it’s Haslab.

i don’t mind too much about painted windows but the colors they used stand out as really tacky. Also $300.

Jesus, Killbison’s tank mode is absolutely terrible. You make dozens of tanks yearly Hasbro. What happened there?

Both Star Saber and Deathsaurus only made ~4k on their first day and wound up making more than 25,000 each by the end. Omega Prime was an outlier, likely due to being an Optimus Prime release and having actually been in TV show in America.

now that i know i have until almost the end of march...i'm leaning towards backing this, although it depends on my finances next month

i'm only getting $1700/mo from a trust fund right now and spending $300 of that a good chunk of change, if the returns from the $500,000 that the trustee invested for me start coming in in march (which he said i should expect is when the first returns to start being reflected in my payments), i might be getting like $3000 - $3500/mo, and spending $300 is easier to swallow

Backer #400.

I'd always been sad I missed the Combiner Wars version. I'm very happy with this.

Like with the previous HasLabs, I'm gonna wait until closer to the end of the campaign to see if it funds before I lock in my backing.

I’m terribly mixed on this.
On the one hand, I’ve already committed to both Star Saber and Deathsaurus. Am I “in for a penny, in for a pound” with Victory stuff? Costs and space are (again, as it seems like I keep saying whenever something new is shown) a pressing issue. I managed to live without the Combiner Wars version, I’m pretty sure I could here as well. But it’s still a very nice big set, and the deep cut of (potentially) including a show only character is a big incentive.

But as much as I kind of like Victory…is it important enough as I look at selling Deathsaurus for the money/cost issues?

Sadly, it looks like I’ll probably have to bow out of this one as well.

Looks like there's a strong possibility of it passing 4000 backers here on the first day. It's at 3500+ already. A strong opening. I do believe this will fund. I'm going to go ahead and make a prediction that we will, at the very least, land Death Cobra. Frankly, I expect all of the tiers, but hope hasn't been very helpful these days so I'm going to temper my expectations.

I'm sure it'll fund and probably get at least Deathcobra.

Are the only victory characters left Road Ceaser and Landcross? (If you're counting the existing Dinoking and Galaxy Shuttle toys)

The Crossformers, too.

Unless you count the toys Black Shadow has had in both Generations and Titans Return, then it's just Blue Bacchus who's left.

Then again, there's also Jan's mech, the Illumina II, if we want to stretch beyond living robots.

Oh, and the Victory-original Micromasters, Clipper and Governor Raikuru.
