So it seems that Larry Hyrb, also known as Major Nelson is leaving, possibly being laid off from, Microsoft after 22 years.
I had a friend that worked at Microsoft back in the mid 2000s, and he got laid off back in Microsoft's first ever lay offs, and they kept Major Nelson instead of his PR group. I figured that with Major Nelson making it through that, he was untouchable at MS.
