I just might go for Garrus. I've only done him once, and for Femshep, he's really the only other one that's worth going for.

Thane's romance isn't bad. (Fun fact, if you stay faithful even after his death in 3, at the end of Citadel, his ghost shows up during the final "shore leave's over, back to the ship" scene.)

Sam's nice, I might try her romance out next time I play. Unfortunate that it means waiting until 3, though.

Jacob can go jump out an airlock.

Sam might be an interesting change of pace. Like, I'd hate to have to wait all the way until 3. But she does is pretty and nice. She's pretty nice.

What they did with Jacob in 3 was stupid. It just felt like yet another prior teammate who was arbitrarily sidelined so they could keep the squad roster small. The romance screw over was omcredibly dumb. I mean, sure have him find love if you don’t romance him. But writing him to have him basically cheat on your Femshep AND choose his new love when you turn up?

Yeah.

At the time, I was kinda hoping we’d get to pick Jacob up again for the squad and give him some more character work. Wasn’t I naive.

Happy adventuring Cal. Maybe I’ll start a new playthrough too. Also, maybe I’ll finally try a FemShep run through.

Only reason I ever play Maleshep is for a Talimance. But I do think I'll go for Sam this time.

I'm thinking you might need to get the PC version and dive down the rabbit hole of mods. It'll be like a totally new game.
