I say it's a wash. Ransack has a worse robot mode than Kickback but a better bug mode.

Megas ALWAYS suffered from "in between" syndrome. They were more expensive than the more popular deluxe size, but generally weren't nearly as impressive as the $5 more Ultra class. In many respects, you, generally, got more/better toys with a basic and deluxe than you did a single Mega. And an Ultra was more interesting than a Mega and a basic (especially with the combiners).Transquito, then Inferno, them Scavenger, then Cybershark. Something about that price point in Beast Wars just seemed cursed to shelfwarm.
Yeah, they really needed another toy or two "in circulation" to spice up the assortment and avoid that "one bad seller".It only had one mold per wave most of the time IIRC. It leads to accumulation of that one toy
Considering the last time we saw a Mega at retail, its $44.99...I'd TOTALLY buy a Transquito right now for less than $20. Just for the nostalgia. The one time they nailed the price point was with Transmetal Primal and Megs. Then it was right back to shelfwarming with Scavenger.Too few Megas actually felt like the designs were "working" at the pricepoint.
