The money and brand recognition the films brought in, as well as the engineering challenges of making the movie character designs into working toys, led directly to a revolution in the figures. Before 2007, Generations was a side hustle. Now it's had multiple trilogies. Without Bay, Jhiaxus for example never would have gotten a comic-accurate mold of his own. Love them or hate them, you should thank them every day for existing.
