That was the day the Allspark came online. I can't even wrap my head around the fact that we've been here, in one form or another, for 25 YEARS!!

It's crazy how many are still here and how many have come in along the way.

To me The Allspark has always been about the community. I think what we have here is something that the broadly soulless and corporate owned social media of the 21st century just can't duplicate.

I think going forward I'm going to work towards bringing places like this back into the limelight. We can be so much better than what the internet has become.

I'm glad to those who have stuck around and I look forward to seeing you all for many more years to come.

We are one!

Woo, happy anniversary. The Wayback machine doesn't even go that far back - but it's close.

I remember joining in 1999 as I had just gotten back into Transformers and had been using an old message board format out there (don't even remember the site) and someone mentioned a conversation at this new board. I jumped over an joined right after. I spent my first 8 years on the board as more of a lurker. I didn't contribute much and mainly just followed conversations people were having and getting my news here. Obviously that changed. :D

I lurked for a few years before officially joining, but this place has remained my internet home since 1999. I will agree that the sense of community here is much stronger than anything I have experienced on other sites (I'm not active on social media by choice). I still remember the banner on the site after 9/11, that had the Protectobots - and maybe a few other rescue-themed bots - stating, "We're here to help." Happy anniversary, and here's to many more years!

It was a bit later for me. I had heard of Allspark, but I had previously joined TFW during the days when they were merged with Transfandom. I don't like to move around much, even online, so I stayed there until I think around 2010. At that point, I was trying to kill some time on a slow day at work, I think maybe on or around my birthday if I remember right. I found that our IT department had blocked TFW, but had not blocked Allspark. I decided to make an account and give it a try. I pretty quickly found it to be a lot more comfortable and ended up settling in here.
