New look, same classic taste!

Alright y’all, let’s do this again.

CHUG is the best! Show off all your old (2006-2014) CHUG toys!

I don’t have too much yet, but I do have RTS Jazz. He’s so good that he retroactively made other figures less enjoyable for me.

Universe Hound needs some good weapons and a proper Hound green, because otherwise the design is everything I could ever want in a Hound.

Classics Prime is still a fairly desent figure (voyager class), I kind of have a bit of a senitmental attachment to that one because its the first figure I bought when I really began getting into Transformers, I pretty much got all of the classics line and still have them, sure in some cases better figures have come out but its hard to let go of the sentimental value! RTS Jazz still stands as one of my favourte figures, in a lot of ways he cooler than the later figures including the Studio series figure, mainly I just love those doors hanging off his back, it gives him a presance of being cool, sure the main flaw with the figure is the hood in robot mode not having anything to connect into but overall he is rather a groovy figure for a groovy character, whose personalty is fairly laid back!

other than what toys others have mentioned, i cant remember what all is included in those years #oldagestrikesagain i still use hound (got a shapeways weapon set for him), arcee (though its the japanese one) and the 06 prime. i spent too much time and money customizing that prime to get rid of him! plus none of the ones that have come since have measured up to him in my eyes

Classics Deluxe Megatron doesn't have a lot of fans but it did solve the problem of tank modes being bricks if the turret forms the robot arms.

Classics Deluxe Prime... well he had a cool gun. A lot of Universe Hounds got customized to use it, and for good reason. It's a fantastic idea. I wish a Hound today would borrow it.

Brand new board, still using that godawful old acronym.

I miss that era of Classic Generations, where the objective was less 'looks the same but with more joints' and more 'make a new toy of this guy'. We got a Grimlock with faces for feet, a military themed Octane, or a Perceptor Science Attack Truck. Now it's That One Grimlock Transformation over and two different G1-with-knees microscope Perceptors. And I guess an Octane with a truly terrible tanker plane mode, that bit was new and unique for the TR version...

Looking at my current setup, I think that the only CHUG figures that will go with my new collection will be Drift, classics Jetfire, and a couple of the Minibots.

Those designs weren't what I wanted, but I appreciate them a little more every year because we're now getting what I wanted. There's room in the franchise for both.

It was nice he had 2 good modes instead of 3 bad ones like the Universe toy.

Is the Universe one really that bad?

Oh no here I go again with that.

My only problem with TR Octane is the truck cab not easily closing. The look of both alt modes is fine, and the plane mode is certainly way better than that of Optimus

slowly, most of my old chug is being replaced by newer stuff.
however, i still have various botcon and other such exclusive repaint of them, so they live on in my collection to some degree or another.
2008 Hound may have been replace by his Siege counterpart, but i still have Botcon 2010 Turbomaster Scorch.
2008 Battle Comb Octane was slightly harder. no repaints of that toy as different characters, just slightly better polished turds. so i just slapped some Star Seeker reprolabels on him and made him a Pirate.

The original Generations Warpath from 2011 is still the best (official) toy of that character IMO. And I couldn't care less about Warpath as a character, I just own the toy because of how good it is.

One of the things I miss from a lot of older figures is the lightpiping in the heads, it really bought a lot of figures to life, having a simple block of transclear plastic in whatever colour in the back of the head of figures just gave them something that a lot of today's figures don't have, hell a lot of figures from the past have better heads in terms of placement on the body, you could have them look up, something a lot of today's figures can't really do very well, thou they are on ball joints, they are pretty limited which I find a pity.
