Ah! See, that's news to me. Seems like Unicron just can't hold on to good employees these days. Everybody just jumps ship everytime Galactus puts up a "Heralds Wanted" sign in the window.
Well, it's because, at the time when Sideways was in that body, Unicron was dead. Sideways remained loyal up until his own demise at the end of Armada, but by the time he got revived (off-screen) in his Cybertron body, Unicron was no more so Sideways was no longer in his service and was given his free will back.

The real-world reason he wasn't Unicron's servant in Cybertron was because Unicron originally wasn't much of a factor in Galaxy Force, and Noisemaze (Cybertron Sideways's Japanese counterpart) was originally a separate character completely unrelated to Doubleface (Armada Sideways's Japanese counterpart). It was Hasbro who wanted to make them the same character in the English version, in the process crafting a much more elaborate history for the composite Sideways character than what was originally the case for either Doubleface or Noisemaze.

The Camera also picks up all the dust from before I packed it up.

Is Cyberverse available on Transformers Official or Pulse YouTube pages? I've heard good things about the series and need to take some time to watch it.

Very stiff thigh ratchets (even for a Combiner torso), kibble-heavy back calves, no ankle tilts, and peeps wish to pass on AotP Silverbolt in favor of THIS?!?!?

Yes. I'm not wild about this figure becoming the basis of sooo much torso engineering, but he's perfectly cromulent (especially the UW one with the nice, lighter yellow).

I do think the main figure of AOTP Silverbolt looks great, though, and finally delivers the most satisfyingly Concorde-shaped jet mode I've seen from a G1 Silverbolt remake. But he can't form a torso on his own; it's the Millenium Falcon wing tumor that does that.

I may still talk myself into it, because the main robot is pretty neat and the whole thing does at least form a nice Superion-y-enough base. We'll have to see, because Star Convoy and Hot Rod are likely going to take priority.
