You leave the fist in the truck mode position and move kibble around IIRC. The gun shouldn’t affect anything since the peg is split in half in that mode. Might be a 3D print adaptor now that i look closer. There’s a bit of gray sticking out

....how is he holding that shield? When I asked about it before, some time ago, I was told the hand needed to fold down, but this is something else entirely. I see the gun plugged in, but I don't think that's enough on its own, is it?
I've always wanted to use the wind vane on this mould as a shield, but you really can't manage it without some finagling, and even then it's not stable.
This is specifically Knight Ginrai though, and because of that it just felt like the shield had to be made to work.

I futzed around with a few ideas, but it became clear that nothing short of an adapter would work. Something to give the wind vane a handle that could be held naturally.

I happened to have a spare grey gun from my Legacy Soundwave four pack. That long weird grey gun that came with every version of Siege/NF Soundwave? It had the right bits for an adapter, just not in the right shape. So I cut and glued a few things together and...

Sadly, prices rise for things like this as the years go by (we're almost five years later from its original release).

Though, he is kinda worth it. He's really good. Like, really good.

Yeah, I realize that. It doesn't change my hesitation, but is the reason I said I'd probably never own this version. I had it pre-ordered when it came out, but finances went tits up and hand to cancel him.

Got the Toyhax Studio Series Optimus trailer set in. Only ended up using the GO! Sticker, head and taillights on Roller and the trailer stripes. I did like some of their deco ideas but I painted those in myself. The chrome diamond plating sticker in particular looks super gaudy and I want my custom work to look like something that could done at mainline toys if they had just a bit more budget. Maybe somebody can make something so that the blue things on the trailer sides can be actual structures like MP-10 and not just painted details. Make a bigger turret drone while they're at it. It just looks wrong having Roller bigger than the turret.

So, unexpectedly early today, I received G2 Breakdown. This is my first experience with the mold and I have a questions. Well, really just the one question:

This reminds me of how G2 Toxitron Jazz mounts his missile launcher.

Or is supposed to, anyway.

I have memories of a 3P add-on kit that gave the Classics Prime mould a solid piece adapter to hold the wind vane like a shield, but I couldn't find anything on a quick Google. So I had to improvise. Adapt. Overcome 😛
At BotCon 2014, Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop were selling a line of accessory toys that consisted of little weapons that could be assembled to form miniature animals, and one of these pieces was an adapter designed to let the wind vane be held as a shield.

This was around the start of when Hasbro began cracking down on the presence of third party toys being sold in the dealer room, and the two had had a go at it trying to convince Hasbro that their products weren't third party Transformers since they neither transformed at all nor were based on any of Hasbro's IP. They just had a similar compatibility in the use of 5mm ports, which seem to make them similar enough to third party toys in Hasbro's eyes at the time.

I can't remember what the name of their line was, unfortunately. And I missed out on getting a wind vane shield adapter for myself.

BMOGs? I think I still have a couple of those.

I think more recently, Nonnef has been making 5mm hole/peg adapters. Probably need to chain a few for this specific use though, idk.
