Rescue Bots Re-Roll to the Rescue in New Fanzine with Short Story by Nicole Dubuc!

It was a sad day when Transformers: Rescue Bots, the longest-running Transformers cartoon to date (and that’s before even taking sequel series Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy into consideration), came to an end. Over its four seasons and 104 episodes, which ran from 2011 to 2016, these four bots who were in stasis and the family of heroes who would be their allies would build up a solid and dedicated base of fans.

Now, four years after Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy brought the experiment that was the Aligned continuity to a close, a new group of heroes are stepping up to continue the legacy of Rescue Force Sigma-17. No, not the Academy recruits, but rather, the fans who have collaborated under the banner of TurboFox Zines to release the first-ever Rescue Bots Zine!

This free-to-download digital fanzine is chock-full of art from 26 fan artists, a board game, and a pair of stories, all designed to give you the inside scoop on Griffin Rock’s resident robots in disguise — straight from the desk of Griffin Rock News’ own Huxley Prescott!

In addition to the foreword, one of those pieces of fiction is a short story penned by none other than original Transformers: Rescue Bots co-developer/story editor/writer (as well as writer for Transformers: Prime and Transformers: Robots in Disguise, not to mention executive producer for Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy and Transformers: Earthspark), Nicole Dubuc, which provides a possible answer to a longstanding question among the fans. And if you count yourself among those fans, then you won't want to miss it!

If that doesn’t sound like an authentic stamp of approval, then I don’t know what does!

You can find links to download not only the Rescue Bots Zine .pdf, but also a .zip file containing a number of .png emojis and stickers for your to peruse through this link! Jazz up that Rescue Bots Discord server you’ve been planning!

If you’re disappointed that you didn’t get to contribute, then worry not! They’re hoping to produce a second edition sometime in the future, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the TurboFox Zines Tumblr, Instagram, Bluesky, and SMOKAT accounts to learn when they’re opening up for contributions again.
