Return to Monkey Island

Ron Gilbert is making Return to Monkey Island, and yes, Guybrush Treepwood is back, with Dominic Armato returning to voice him.

And Ron Gilbert has said that while this takes place after MI2, the other games, or at least 3, is still Canon.

So does that mean this comes between 2 and Curse? Because he's been saying for ages that he has his own idea of what happened after 2 and what its ending meant. And whatever it is, it's gotta be better than the cosmic shrug we got from his teammates after he left.

I'm glad he's back to working with Grossman, though. One good thing to come out of the implosion of Telltale. Broken Age demonstrated that he doesn't work as well solo as he hoped, and Thimbleweed Park... I actually know nothing about because absolutely nobody I know ever played it.

Thimbleweed Park is probably average, It's interesting but the plot kinda goes a bit off the rails and into meta towards the end.

I hated the weird them as kids playing in a carnival ending. What in the world was that all about?!? I stopped playing after that weird ending.
