MPG-17 is Optimus Prime "Style Gen.", apparently kicking off a new "Style Gen." subseries in the MPG line:
Yup, the classic Big Good of the Autobot ranks returns to the Masterpiece stage, this time sporting a new design that seems to hearken back to Studio OX and/or the original Diaclone Battle Convoy -- and he's bringing a slew of interesting accessories. These include his iconic ion rifle, the Matrix of Leadership, and a range of Energon blades -- including the G1 classic, a couple of live-action movie arm blades, and attachments to give the G1 axe a WFC: Siege look!
Preorders for MPG-17 Optimus Prime Style Gen. go live on April 4, 2025. Also set on April 4 is a Takara Tomy live stream, with viewers possibly getting a "limited purchase bonus" for ""MPG-17 Optimus Prime Style Gen.", "Toyrise AFR-01 Ryukendo", and "RMZ-009 Iron Kong Guyros Color"".
