honestly, the yellow was kinda growing on me. I'll buy the white one... but who knows maybe they'll do a repaint

at least now I can head cannon that Nova Prime picked his colors to emulate Prima
I’ve long head cannoned Nova Prime into “Grand Universe Finale” Battle Corps Optimus Prime. The Combiner Wars Battle Core Optimus Prime really spoke to me, for some reason. Especially as a white-but-not-Ultra Magnus alternate color set for Optimus. The white with grey and gold just clicked for me.

My head cannon for this iteration of Optimus is that this is his “last stand” form. When Cybertron’s danger is most dire, he fashioned himself this form in these colors for the sake of “abandoning” any partisan nature. He’s not leading the last charge as an Autobot, or Maximal, or Predacon, or Decepticon. He fights for ALL Cybertron.
By Prima being in similar colors kind of helps bring that idea back around to evoking the first great leader of all Cybertron.
Cybertronian aesthetic aside, something about the vehicle mode seems unfinished. Every section is a different width and nothing flows into the next area well.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if that was intentional. Like, Prima is the first Transformer, the first Cybertronian created by Primus, preceding all other Transformers yet to come. So, he's quite primitive in nature. Perhaps the aesthetic Hasbro was going for when designing his vehicle mode was a primitive design, one that's meant to look like an early unfinished prototype.
I can see the “early version” angle, and it vibes as a generic G1 Cybertronian vehicle (I’m seeing some Kup influences in the vehicle mode). But I also agree with unluckiness that it doesn’t feel like a complete “thing”. Largely in the fact the geebled legs contrast against the very smooth line cabin area.
But we also have to keep in mind that this is a cobbled together sample missing large swaths of the final figure, especially accessories. I kind of wonder if the final figure with have some sort of shield/bed cover like Bulkhead ended up getting.

A notable thing to me is that the figure’s hands ALSO feature a hinge. I saw that on Fallen, but it’s a bit surprising at the Voyager price point as well. Will the deluxe class Primes get hinged hands as well?

Taking a closer look at the vehicle mode, it looks like someone forgot to fold up the front bumper. You can see it on the underside of the vehicle mode.

It's instead folded out and connected to the windshield in this robot mode pic, when it was folded away on the yellow test shot:

Lol no. Even if that was in mind when designing this, it'd be dumb. Primus isn't a scientist or engineer, he's a creator god.

"This house that hasn't even had the plumbing and AC installed sucks!"

I agree with @Undead Scottsman. Let's wait until we see a completed version of the toy not shown off on someone's bedsheets before making any judgements.
