Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: Gen Selects Trypticon Reissue

unluckiness

Somehow still sane

I figure it’s too obvious a release that they’re well aware of it and just looking into what channel to distribute. Is it a mainline release? Store exclusive? Generations Selects? Multipack with another toy?

Does Brunt even WORK with Trypticon? The best I ever was able to do was a set of 'cargo loading' claws and a cannon. Trying to make any parts set on the back like G1 doesn't work, the panels the arms are on are too floppy to support them.

Here's an attempt at two guns like the old Battle Station setup, but it doesn't use all the parts.

While I had Listen and Fun Cliffjumper and Goldbug
I'm sorry, you had what, now?

Oh, totally. I mean, it's kludging stuff a bit, rather than designed for it (sadly, I don't think any of these guys were really "designed" to fit with their respective Titans in ways approximating the originals), but it's doable.

Looks like my old post is gone with the old forums, so...

There are a few options for getting that big center tower going. Unfortunately, most involve keeping Full-Tilt there.

Leaks have it that Horri-Bull is already coming in a two-pack with Animated Nemesis Prime.
I thought it was another 4-pack, like the former Buzzworthy ones.

If it is, these 2 out of 4 are already selling me on it. And there's no shortage of fun Deluxes they could do to round it out. Like maybe Riggorus, Roulette, Nightra, Double Punch, another of the Corvicons...

And if it is just a 2-pack, that's great too, as I'm already sold on 2 out of 2.

This does say "multipack", distinct from "two pack" as previously specified for the G2 dinos. And "presumably for Target" suggests it might be in line with what recent Target exclusive multipacks have tended to be (outside, sure, the early-Buzzworthy 2-packs and the We Dead SS86 2-packs that these don't line up with). Worlds Collide, Creatures Collide, Troop Builder, Legacy; these have also tended to have Voyagers, so Animated Nemesis Prime fits in.

Again, I'll be happy in either case, so no big deal which it is.

I think its "Listen and Fun Cliffjumper, and also Goldbug" and not "Listen and Fun Cliffjumper and Listen and Fun Goldbug"
Yeah, that! I didn’t think I made it that hard to read, but, I guess it was? Using L&F Cliffjumper as a Bumblebee surrogate might have also been part of the reason the unusual design decision on the Pretender figure didn’t bother me that much. Who knows, maybe Hasbro messed up all those years ago and happen to mix up Bumblebee and the L&F Cliffjumper when using a reference for the Pretender Classics.

Also, Solus Prime wasn’t high on my ”to get” list, but…I have some coupons and a partial gift card for Best Buy, and I think I can use it to get her for less than $20. As is, I used a coupon to get Prima for $15, so I think that’s the play. Though, it would have been GREAT if Best Buy was offering preorders for one of the two leaders.
Y’know, the two I’m ACTUALLY wanting really hard this year.

This is a thing that constantly bugs me as an editor (my day job) because everyone seems to do it (often in medical/legal contexts where clarity is really important).

When making a list, a good rule of thumb is to arrange items by length/number of words. So "Goldbug" (one word) would logically come before "Listen and Fun Cliffjumper" (four words). (Also remember that adjectives and titles tend to modify any word that comes after them, so keep them toward the end of the list.)

In my defense, that sort of thing hasn’t been a consideration in my writing for nigh on 20 years. Even then, I’d argue my grammar and sentence structure is still a step above of most average fans on the internet :p

Also, proper comma placement matters 👨🏻‍🏫
