Mark posted a second set of Silverbolt/Superion pictures:

Okay, we can see that the two combiners can swap arms with arms and legs with legs between each other, but Mark claims that they brought back the "Scramble City" gimmick, which refers to the swapping of arms and legs themselves. As in, an arm can become a leg, and a leg can become an arm. But I don't see that on display here in any of these pics. So we'll have to wait and see if Superion's arm bots and leg bots really are swappable with each other. By which I mean if Slingshot can also attach to either of Superion's leg frames, or if Air Raid can also attach to either of Superion's arm frames, as right now that doesn't look to be the case despite what he claims.

I really doubt they actually can do full Scramble City swapping. I fully expect this is just another case of the Hasbro team using these terms for which we have a very specific interpretation in a pretty loose way. I kinda doubt they would have even bothered enabling swapping sides if it didn't aid in being able to make the left and right limbs retools of each other. I expect it's just that reusing the Menasor engineering meant that they could swap limbs with each other, and that equals Scramble City as far as they're concerned.

"We've replaced Superion's brain with landing gear! Let's see if he notices!"
*Superion runs by with his face on the floor, arms dragging*
"Look out! The breaks have failed! Emergency landing!"

I am wondering how much soft plastic will be used in the nosecones and fins. The Earthrise jets were surprising me to me in that they didn't use any (and it's why I actually got a few of them). I'm not preordering anything right now but depending on how reviews go I may consider them.

While I'm glad we're getting Diaclone Topspin, did they really need to re-do Spinister?
Considering we only got the other Mayhem members in the past year or so, and Spinister is almost 5 years old, I think there IS merit. Especially chucking in the Targetmasters.

I'm mixed. I got Siege Spinister, which tickles my toy accuracy itch. But Hasbro stepped up with a much nicer, if seemingly less toy accurate, deco with more details AND the inclusion of true Targetmasters. Cutting back, I'm just not sure I can justify this entire set (I have zero interest in Topspin) for a slightly nicer Spinister with a couple of extra, well painted, Targetmasters.

Yes, so we could get his Targetmasters.

Here's how I see it-

I'm getting the set for a Diaclone Topspin and two Targetmasters.
The extra Spinister is a bonus.

Honestly cannot think of a version of Spinister that had a bright pink torso and deep blue arms.

It's kind of a goof to get it wrong when the whole point of the deco is to be Marvel G1 accurate, but at the same time I was probably going to stick with my Siege Spinister anyway, and will be getting this set for his Targetmasters and Diaclone Topspin. I don't know what I'll do with the second Spinister, maybe sell if it I can find a buyer who doesn't want the Targetmasters.
Or failing that, maybe see if I can swap some parts on Siege Spinister for interesting combos?

I'm eager for that Topspin, but Spinister isn't calling to me. I have the original release, and I have Targetmasters (excuse me, Battle Masters) to go with him, so yeah, he's cool, and I'm glad that we're getting him, but he's not my reason to get this set.

Still gonna get it, though.
