I love the teal on Trypticon but not the purple that’s borderline pink.

Looks pretty plain overall too. That ramp need something anything to add visual interest. Also lol they just threw full tilt there randomly.

The ramp needs G1 style stickers. I get that they were going for TOON, and I get that a ramp obviously needs to be a smooth, but it's so at odds with how detailed the rest of it is.

They should have included the targetmasters with another (new) character (like Takara have done with Windblade, etc). Heck, they could have repainted Spinister into this lad and I would have been more interested.

That twopack is appealing for Topspin, but frustrating because of Spinister with his Targetmaster. I mean, Topspin at least has the advantage of being his Diaclone style deco like Twintwist (and the Wrecker emblem). Which are completely different than the TR decoes. Spinister, while nice, isn’t really different enough colour wise for anybody who already has his Stege figure. I am very tempted. Guess it depends on price and how much I really want Dia Topspin.

Trypticon looks…ok. But yeah, toon accuracy does result in big blooms of smooth colour.

Considering we only got the other Mayhem members in the past year or so, and Spinister is almost 5 years old, I think there IS merit. Especially chucking in the Targetmasters.


I'm mixed. I got Siege Spinister, which tickles my toy accuracy itch. But Hasbro stepped up with a much nicer, if seemingly less toy accurate, deco with more details AND the inclusion of true Targetmasters. Cutting back, I'm just not sure I can justify this entire set (I have zero interest in Topspin) for a slightly nicer Spinister with a couple of extra, well painted, Targetmasters.

I'm very glad this is Topspin (we just got a Twin Twist), and I like those Targetmasters well enough, but would you be interested in splitting just for the Spinister?

I think Topspin is interesting but I could give or take him even having Twin Twist. (I mean I THINK I have Diaclone Twin Twist, if you pressed me I'm actually not 100% sure, and I'm not searching the basement right now).

I have no real need for a second Spinister at all except I really want those Targetmasters for him so he matches Quake and Needlenose better...

-ZacWilliam, so will I place a 50 dollar order for just the Targetmasters... maybe?

Anyone that's wanting the set exclusively for Topspin and wants to sell the targetmasters (with or without Spinister), I would be willing to buy / split the set.

Speaking of the Mayhem bots. I Reeeally hope Hasbro rereleases them. Because those sets are very hard to find now.

plus, I have a pet peeve because of Amazon uk about these guys. I had the Doom Insecticon set on preorder since last June. It got delayed multiple times until 5th Jan this year. Until 5th Jan came, the order vanished and I then got a ‘sorry, lack of availability‘ e-mail. I’m guessing I’m not the only one who lost out. Because scalper listing for the Doom sets are up on Amazon, for a £30 markup.

I could use one set of stickers for my TR Trypticon and the second set for this version to step him up a bit. Man... I can't be really thinking of getting another Trypticon... can I?!?!

UPDATE: Never mind-- I didn't realize that Amazon (at least) was stocking them too. Somehow I was under the impression that at least the two-pack was a Pulse exclusive.
