I hope they do make a Selects Ultra Mammoth too... and it would be funny if THAT ended up on the MTO list if they go through with that, considering the original was a Club thing.

I've always liked the idea that post G1, the title of Prime is a rank. That makes a certain kind of sense to me. So Lio and Big would have proper rank while Primal was a fanboy who rose to the occasion.
Mammoth Prime sounds like something Hasbro would do as far as the naming conventions go. If we can't get Star Convoy there's no way we're getting Big Convoy.

With that said, I super look forward to all the confused store clerks when they're asked by their local nerd population where Convoy is.

Still, we were really close to things being very different. A cut scene from Transformers 2007 had Sam experience a vision of Sentinel Prime from robo-heaven explaining Optimus and Megatron's history and the start of the war. Had that made it into the final movie then the whole plan of Sentinel for DotM probably doesn't happen.

I just wanted to say I think this particular point may give the Bay films way too much credit in keeping continuity with... or even remembering anything about... the events of previous movies.

The fact that it would have seemingly contradicted something from the movie before doesn't feel to me like it would have stopped the writers or Bay from doing anything they wanted to do.

-ZacWilliam, it probably would have ended up a contradiction that IDW would have to explain via complicated comic book continuity. (And then the next film would have ignored all that...)

While the Bay movies were never really keen on continuity I don't see DotM happening as it did, if Sentinel shows up as a force ghost in TF 2007.

If Sentinel had been seen as a friendly ghost in an AllSpark vision in the first movie, and then as the main villain in DOTM, then Sam's vision in the first movie could have been simply written off as a hallucination.

I really wanted to add in a video of the old Cartoon Network bumper, but I just can't find anything. Makes me wonder if my Google-fu has severely weakened, or if maybe I'm just misremembering. As best I can recall, it went:

Big in Japan! Big in Japan! Not in America, but BIG! IN! JAPAN!

Seems appropriate here.

Could it have been a Toonami bumper instead?

Not knowing anything about this person, I'm going to guess that that name is derived from "Sailor Iron Mouse" from Sailor Moon.
Wikipedia says... that you got it in one!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironmouse

Her backstory, however, reminded me of the character of "Zona Rosa" from William Gibson's novel Idoru.

...In that she is a Latina with chronic health issues using a virtual persona to interact with the outside world, in defiance of physical/medical isolation.

And while she'd be more of a Mayhem topic than Transformers discussion per se, the handle is also reminiscent of ascended fan-favourite blogger "Fisitron"....😉

...which could, circling back to topic, be a way to get some story content back into the line, if Tech Specs are crowded out by packaging constraints and QR codes aren't an option.

What I've learned to hunting over the last week or so is that they overestimated Red Alert's popularity. I'm betting he's two to a case to Prima's one. But I've seen several instances of two Reds and zero Primas. I think at this point I've seen eight Reds and zero Primas. Also, Wasp is also the least popular of the Deluxes. Usually the other three are gone.

The only Age of Prime toys I've seen so far have been Red Alerts so he doesn't appear to be flying out of stores here.

-ZacWilliam, anyone else I would have bought but I passed so I guess I'm part of the "problem"

I bought Wasp, Solus, and Red Alert. I've seen Prima and the Aerialbots once each in person, but I'm trying to be very choosy because Liokaiser.

There’s ALWAYS “that one guy” in any line, especially the start. Bulkhead didn’t fly out stores either, nor did Leo Prime for that matter.

Some general thoughts:
-VERY G1 centric, and not in a good way. Next year is both the anniversary of the 86 film (40th) and the 30th Anniversary of Beast Wars. Studio Series leaks (see that thread) are already REALLY heavy on that, so it highly disappoints me that Age of the Primes sacrifices so many slots (especially at the deluxe range) to characters that have been done, and multiple times.
-Pretty sure we’re a wave short on deluxe, Swindle is MIA and will certainly be out to complete Bruticus. Maybe beasts will roll on the backside to coordinate with an Anniversary push from Japan? Maybe a capsule thing we don’t know about?
-Surprised to see the Primes in the Voyager price point. I’d have thought at least one or both might have been bumped to leader. We’ll see how they turn out. I’m betting at least one will be a retool from Prima or Alpha Trion.
-I’ll be in for a whole wave purchase if those two leaders are in a case. But like deluxe, Hasbro typically slates 4-6 leaders per year, so I’m expecting at least one more new mold and probably another redeco of some sort. (Still waiting on Machine Wars Soundwave from Double dealer ;) )
-Rest of the G2 Dinobots is surprising. Given the tendancy to “pull back” on the garishness of G2, they should still have some interesting colors. I’m HIGHLY tempted to sell off my Studio Series Dinobots and get the G2 versions. What can I say, the 90s were my childhood.

If listings are accurate, Smokescreen and Prime Cliffjumper should be refreshes or minor updates to their last releases. No word on Titan, but Hasbro seems to keep that a bit closer to their chest.
My eternal hope is a version of Megabolt Megatron (big head FTW!), my “realistic” expectation is either another Battlestar or an Animated Omega Supreme to go with the other Animated offerings.

Armada Sideways as a Voyager, kinda called that one.

Wonder if Wreckgar will be a retool of Trashmaster. Glad to see Ratchet as well, wonder if he'll be a new mold or remold of Trailbreaker.

Surprised Brawl is a voyager.
