Centaur Onyx confirmed.

Combined with the fact that Star Optimus's torso looks more like that of Powermaster Optimus, I'm guessing that statue group shot was based on earlier non-finalized designs.

I wanna see this Star Convoy next to the Selects version. As of now, I don’t think I’m switching.
There are comparison shots of Star Convoy next to G2 Grimlock. Convoy is about double the height of Grimlock.

I just hope all the Aerialbots are easy to get, no 'Breakdown' this time.
General comments I’ve read from recent interviews seems to indicate Hasbro might be scaling their lines back a hair. We’ve already seen that in Legacy with Hasbro moving to more reruns/package refresh figures, and I saw one of the marketing guys remark several weeks back to shifting to 3 Studio Series waves per year with less product carryover.
From the listings, it looks like the 2025 Deluxe range will be 3 waves (keeping in mind that wave 1 isn’t due until next spring). IDEALLY, that should mitigate availability issues. But, distribution is going to distribute weirdly. The old adage “If you REALLY want it, preorder it” remains as valid as it always has.

Fresh images are out, and there are better images of the actual toys. The biggest thing I noticed was that “Micromaster Hot Rod”…isn’t so micro. Just from the images, he looks FAR closer to a Core Class figure. Judging from Wasp in the same image (and the Animated BB mold skewed to being a bit smaller than the average deluxe), Hot Rod is about 2/3 the size.

I’m still surprised by how much Hasbro opted to skew to the G1 design of Star Convoy, when it was built for features the current product really doesn’t embrace. Core class is dead as an ongoing segment (barring Cyberworld doing something in that vein), and nothing else out, planned or rumored feel like a “compliment” to the figure. FWIW, I was totally on board with the “Star Powermaster Optimus Prime” vibe the package side art was giving off. I don’t HATE what is being done, but I’m not sure simply replicating the exact nature of toy works to THIS particular design’s advantage.

Also, Wheelie is totally sporting that “Wild Boy from Quintessa” look referenced earlier. I’m here for the G2 Grimlock if someone wants a Wheelie I have no interest in…

I’m honestly quite surprised at how much I’m digging the actual Primes, here. Opinions over fiction aside, I’m really liking the contrast they offer and the narrative elements their gimmicks are bringing here.

Hard to tell yet, but Superion will probably look pretty good. That said, I don't know that I'll be replacing my CW version (of ANY of the gestalts, really). I only bought the new Legacy Menasor because I completely skipped the less-than-great CW version. I'm 100% in for any combiners that CW didn't cover, though.

Who was left that didn't make it into Combiner Wars?

...okay, technically, the Terrorcons and Predacons were Power of the Primes, but come on.

That just leaves Japanese-exclusive guys like Guard City and the Micromasters and (I guess) the Beast Wars-RiD2001 guys, right?

I've always been a bit sad that Generations Metroplex and the Combiner Wars torsos were not made to connect is any way. (Also, no CW limbs/Metroplex attachment, like the original.) I get that Metroplex was designed way before the CW stuff, but still, I'm sad.

Ooh, I managed to kludge something for that a long time ago, using their hand/foot guns...

Is that a Micromaster Hot Rod with Star Optimus Prime?

What?! Where?!

Giggity!

Also, art has leaked for wave 2's Heatwave

Also a scan of part of Star Convoy's instruction sheet, indicating some out of box assembly and a space for a second trailer, possibly indicating future Battlestars, I think?

Heatwave is SO bought! They could really just do a whole Generations line of Rescue Bots and just take my money.

For real. While there are still a number of TFs I want, Rescue Bots are the ones I must buy.

Well now they need to do Blades and Boulder. Least get the original 4 out.

Hell to the yes. 😻

Star Convoy next to Grimlock does me no good. I want to see Primes Star Convoy next to Selects Star Convoy to see if it’s worth the money. He looks fantastic but I don’t know if it’s enough for me to change. I’d like to see Super Megatron next to Prime Star Convoy as well.

I'm confused on one thing with Star Convoy/OP whatever. Micromaster Hot Rod has a little truck that he rides inside that turns into a small battle station? Is this some sort of Pretender Vehicle homage or something else? It just seems an odd inclusion. I'd think if they were doing that they'd have made the truck look like Rodimus Prime.

It's a thing the original toy had.

It’s a replication of a gimmick the original 1991 toy had. Several toys came with little “battle trailers” that interacted with the Battlestar bases (aka, the big guys).

That’s kind of why I’m baffled by the slavish devotion to the original toy, since so much of that just isn’t present in the current product representation.

Clearly they're starting here and expanding the gimmick with the future releases of Grandus and Sky Jerry / Garry / Larry.

You know, looking at how much bigger Star Optimus is compared to Superion, but also so much smaller than every past Titan class figure, I just realized something about this new smaller Titan class.

It's the return of the Supreme class from the Unicron Trilogy! Supreme class is back, baby!

Micromaster trailers also interacted with each other. They're surprisingly versatile things. I wanted this.

You have a point that it's not obvious how it fits anything else in Hasbro's current plans. Either they were just that determined to make a perfect Star Convoy no matter the cost, or they realized they can use this to bump Micromasters up a pricepoint, since Core doesn't exist anymore.

Superion is mostly what I expected. I'd guessed that Silverbolt would just be the storage container slung under a jet that would turn into the frame/base. The actual toy having a full transforming Silverbolt is an improvement over what I was expecting. Means his combined jet mode will almost certainly only be a storage mode for me, but I'll take it. I would have been extremely disappointed in these combiners had they come before CW. But given that the CW combiners exist, I've come around to appreciate these giving us something different, especially their much improved stability and playability in combined mode.

The Prime statue art not being representative of the actual toys is also not too surpising. It's a bit frustrating though that we get this nice picture showing all of them together, but then have to immediately dismiss it as telling us much of anything about what to expect from the rest. Although, if I wanted to go out on a limb, I'd speculate that this could be a hint that PMOP could be coming in 2026, with the two getting amalgamated into this portrayal as a play on the inaccuracies of the myths and legends. I'd love to get an update, and I think he'd fit well as a new downsized Titan with his Apex Armor.

I'm mostly liking what I'm seeing. I'm all in on the 13, even including Micromaster Hot Rod's oversized accessory. Superion is what I expected, though actually seeing him has me hoping that Bruticus and other future combiners give some consideration to having the limb frames color match the limb bots. Definitely looking forward to seeing Sky-Byte.

I reckon it's due to the increased budget. With a "mini-titan" budget, they can go all-in, just like they've done with the Haslab editions. Previously, both the previous titan class and other price-points "couldn't" include everything as they had to make a certain size of toy (which presumably, ate-up most of the budget).

As for the battle trailers...

However, my theory hasn't made allowances for the lack of "roller" (the tank-treaded transport carrier that became the rear of Optimus' trailer).
