While Superion is rather blurry, what I am seeing at the moment I do not like as he looks like he's taking a lot from Legacy Menasor. As it looks like the legs are pre-formed and you just shove the arialbots in there to fill out the gap.

It's a well know fact that all leakers are quite literally your Grandma. Photos are taken on either a 3 Megapixel digital camera or her Jitterbug flip-phone.

I am just assuming that with this round of combiners, this is how they're going to work.

Hmm, yeah, it does seem to, doesn't it? Menasor was one of the "toy version and animation version are mutually exclusive" characters, so that style of combination WAS actually accurate to the cartoon, so I was ok with it. For Superion, though, that's never been the case. The toy and the cartoon both presented the limbs as being made out of the actual limb-bots, so I don't really care for it here.

Looking closer at the Superion pic, the arms kinda look like they're made of the actual Aerialbots instead of attached to a frame. The legs, however, do look kinda frame-ish.

Kinda looks like what BM Strika might have scanned as an Earth altmode.

Of the Aerialbots, I will likely just get Air Raid because of sentimental significance. Probably get Wasp and Red Alert and Solus. Not sure about the rest.

(Is it just the lighting, or is G2 Wheelie in his Wild Boy of Quntesson colors?)

Damnit, don't make me want that!

I mean, it wouldn't be enough to get me to buy another Grimmy, especially since that Wheelie is just an oddly-posed (posed well for riding Grimlock, but not much else) non-transforming figure, but that DOES make me really want a repaint of the SS figure in Wild Boy of Quintessa colors. Give him new David-and-Goliath style slingshot and lightsaber accessories, too!

Menasor was an easy sell because CW Motormaster/the Menasor torso was probably the worst torso out of CW. So sure... do him again, lean into the cartoon style of combination if that's what you gotta do...

But CW Superion/Silverbolt and Bruticus/Onslaught are REALLY good and still hold up. That makes new versions of two complete teams a hard sell already but add in that they're committing to the "frames you shove guys into" model and it's like... no thanks.

That being said, I'm probably all in on everything that's not a Combiner dude or Bluelock.

The Primes all look amazing. Even Solus and her WoW-ass hammer.
