But...the National Weather Service doesn't name winter storms. Anyways, I'm fine. Thankfully didn't lose power and management at work is understanding on not coming in. Granted, that's mostly because they don't want to drive in it either. The dangerous part is the thaw and refreeze but I'm certainly not driving anywhere today.

Apparently it was named because it spawned tornadoes. Right now she's dumping on quebec, ontario, and a couple of the north eastern states. Powers on, heats running, other than a province wide snow day and a fair bit of shoveling in my immediate future: we're okay up here.

Which is problematic if you don't watch the Weather Channel. They don't have any actual authority. Still, glad that others that were hit are okay. It's melting here but sadly it might snow again this weekend.

No melt here to be spoken of. When it's not snowing, it's frigid cold and this pattern is expected to repeat for... well, for winter.
