Agatha All Along! Mysticism in MCU

No, the WW84 squick is bringing someone back by overwriting another person. Granted, the details are different, but there's some similarities.

"Teen is really the last member of the coven" has been a pretty common prediction since week 1, FWIW. There were just so many other options. And a lot of the speculation about Rio is still in play...she can be more than one thing, after all.

Personally, and this is speculation, I wonder about the body count of this series. Sure, pretty much disposable minor characters drawn from the comics (plus Mrs. not-Hart), but given how many assertions about other things have been shown to be false or misleading, I have to wonder if the Witch's Road is actually necessarily fatal. I mean, Agatha was the only survivor of her first trip through, but she likely made sure of that rather than leaving it to the perils of the trials. (Okay, the Wu is likely dead from last week, since that was Agatha all along, but everyone else got killed by trials or environmental hazards.)

actually I was squicking about the grape of the overwritten person in ww86. I think this might be worse because Billy's not-family has to lose a kid twice, since their son is dead and now their fake son isn't him -so that's like going to do all kinds of messing up of their grieving cycle.

or are we to assume that bit was part of his coverstory and he doesn't actually have a fake family or boyfriend o_O? now there's a question I could ponder

I think they are fairly different.

It doesn't really seem like Billy over wrote anyone. William died, and Billy's soul found the body, seemingly without conscious effort from him. William is more of an organ donor, than a hijacked body.

Billy is a confused kid, he doesn't really seem to recall his life in the Hex, just "feelings"

What are his options other than trying to live a copecetic life with Williams parents? They seem accepting and loving of who he is now, even if they don't know the Witchy backstory, and just think he was changed from the crash.

I'll agree to disagree on how shitty this is for the parents. But at this point we've got to take everything we "know" about Billy with a grain of salt - he's kind of an unreliable narrator right now.

I mean this wasn't him narrating. He wasn't explaining his backstory to anyone or telling anyone this is how it happened. We just see it as a 3rd party observer

I'm going to assume that Billy and Tommy were Wanda's version of an idealized American TV family sitcom kids. I don't recall what shows she watched on VHS or whatever but going by WandaVision, she was familiar with the 60s black and white shows.

Since Billy and Tommy had accelerated growths, their mental and educational development must have been magically set by Wanda to stay with their current age. But also subject to the whims of her own biases.

I didn't watch the Suite Life of Zack and Cody but, usually when there's twins, they are treated like on personality, one entity (like Huey, Dewey and Louie in 80s DuckTales) and not separate individuals (like 2010's DuckTales Huey, Dewey and Louie).

Sitcom siblings usually have a smart kid and a mischievous kid, a good kid and a naughty kid. Billy is empathic enough to be the good kid but Tommy is impulsive enough to be the negative one. Their powers are pretty godsend to them adjusting to their new lives without magically infused knowledge. Billy can read minds and adjust accordingly while Tommy can speed up to learn whatever he needs to.

Wanda actually did give birth to the two so they aren't artifical. They should have souls (right?). The three years with a loving family greatly helped Billy. But I wonder Tommy will be sent to a bad family?

Jesus. That was an amazing and beautiful episode.

Why can't we get more stuff of this quality Marvel? Why do you pump out so much sweatshop CGI schlock with plots that don't even make sense.

Just hire Jac to write all the TV series from now on. Just do it.

Saw the 7th ep. That was really good storytelling! But, geez, the developments. It's so sad still.

Alice dying was
a tragic mistake. Lilia died because it's all in the cards? It was preordained.

Jennifer didn't die during her trial because she didn't use any power, just knowledge?

I'm a little sad about the Salem Seven. We didn't see them do anything bad onscreen. And they were just children who were orphaned, maybe a bit justified in their revenge quest.

The Rio thing, if I didn't see speculations and such, I really wouldn't have gotten it. Don't know where that story goes but when she said bodies, it shows the three witches, two of which died. So Jennifer will die too?

The fun thing about the way this episode ran is that we also know that Lilla will show up at least one more time, since she knows Agatha needs to duck at a particular point. She's not predicting future events, she's LIVING them and then reporting back.

Saw ep 8 and 9. Both had parts that made me gasp but... I'm not sure I like the ending.

Ep8 I need an explanation why it wasn't initially simultaneous. I guess I'm possibly right on a part.

Ep9 I actually went Holy f. Like, f.

Then at the present, whaaaaaa?!? It makes sense, considering the power involved. I'd like to believe that it became permanent.

Something not answered is parentage.

the bad writing really holds this franchise down... "teen" somehow remembers the tarot reading at a critical moment...

hmm... how? didn't that happen before his imaginary ghost possessed the body?

or did I miss the part where it was revealed that he lied about that backstory? ... anyway. it's over and can be forgotten now like the Celestial in the ocean
