Thanks to proper scaling, you could actually recreate this pose nowadays with the Titan class figure.

I vaguely remember that my childhood PMOP's leg flaps stayed up in base mode. But it's been a long time, I'm not sure what bin what's left of that toy is in down in the basement, and even if I could find it, age might've loosened the joints enough by now that they wouldn't stay up anyway. Or rusted the pins enough that they'd stay up from the increased friction.
Thinking back, I remember on mine, I believe one stayed put while the other drooped.

And I see so many pics where they're like that, and I'm just like "Is that how it's supposed to be?"

I thought Sir Isaac Newton was the guy who invented gravity.

Just like how Benjamin Franklin was the guy who invented lightning.

It was Mother nature that invented Gravity, Newton claims to have discovered it but then these geniuses tend to be behind the times alot, for example: Scienists have resently decared that cats are liquid, when non geniuses already know that they are liquid because of the fact they can get themselves into the weirdest of places!

I don't think it's supposed to be that way it's just... hinges that don't have a locking point and gravity.

Yeah, Hasbro simply wasn't taking gravity into account when they designed those flaps to have no locking mechanisms way back in 1988.

To be fair, gravity had only been invented in 1982 and wasn't fully implemented world-wide until the early 90's.

Gravity wasn't discovered until Throckmorton Q. Downwardson looked up one day and just said "Nope" so hard that he immediately stuck to the ground.
Eh, I mean, like I said, mine had one tight hinge, one droopy one. I didn't think I'd wind up with the only tight hinge in the world.

But now y'all are making me wonder.

Hey everyone, I'm creating a dedicated thread for this articulation topic as I think it is great discussion.

[ADMIN HAT] I just moved all this discussion about articulation to the new thread. I hope everyone is okay with that as I think it is a wonderful discussion topic. [/ADMIN HAT]

I like how his head sculpt actually has recessed pits for eyes and then the insides painted black. That was a nice attention to detail I wouldn't have expected them to do but it really gets the face looking right.

The only thing they didn't give him, which kinda annoys me, is the red triangles on his thighs. Its a minor detail, but when everything else is really damn close and faithful it stands out to me.
