There is also, outside the cost and space issues, the simple fact that I am not getting any younger. And when I do have to go, do I want to leave a mountain of plastic that most of my family will have only the slightest idea what to do with? This is also why I'm judging a lot more strictly on what I bring in, as resale options fall and my nephew gets to the point where he will want to pick out his own anyway, I may not be the best one to bring more robots in at this point. I can let the kid pick what works for him, rather than my 'I was there when Bumblebee was red and we LIKED IT' POV.

This is where I'm at with things right now. It is just such a hard habit to break not getting things I'm interested in. I should be totally content with my TFC Hercules as my Devastator, but I still find myself preordering the new ones. I will hopefully come to my senses soon and cancel the order.

So I am debating getting these guys. I have a Titan class Devastator, and I am happy with it. However, I am debating getting these to have them in bot mode. Is that crazy?

No, having Titan Devestator in combined mode at all times and keeping the new, better individual 'bots in individual modes isn't a bad way to enjoy both.

So I am debating getting these guys. I have a Titan class Devastator, and I am happy with it. However, I am debating getting these to have them in bot mode. Is that crazy?

It actually makes sense if you want the sense of 'size change' that no toy can actually accomplish. And don't get me wrong, I'm not stopping everything. Like recently, my nephew was watching the OLD movie (again and again) and so for Halloween for him, I got him the two-pack of dead Ratchet and Prowl (improved a bit with the shoulder guns from blue Bluestreak, he and I both managed to break ours in different ways, so I rebuilt them into one good one for him, one parts-box backup bot for me, and Prowl gets his guns back).

It's a lot like how one could get Kingdom Ultra Magnus for his robot mode and SS86 Commander class Ultra Magnus for his vehicle mode, since he's a size-changer too.
