Part of that is expectations they made and then didn't meet, and gave every impression that they WOULD meet before products arrived. Like the Action Master partners packed with some of the Ultimates, in some cases some functionality was maintained, but usually through parts swapping, no actual transformation. Even in cases like Banzi-tron where it certainly LOOKS like it should transform, but it's been made not to, even though all pegs are there to have made it work. If you go a few pages back you can see some of the local reviews, and TFW has a huge thread on it if you can get past the usual rant-postings that don't add anything. In non-TF stuff, Silverhawks had some well known breakages right out of the box, finish trouble, issues with faces, etc. It looks like it is beginning to impact them, recently a lot of very unique offerings that had no parallel for any other company ranging from Power Rangers to D&D got cancelled, in many cases because fans were hesitant to preorder till they saw the real thing, and that didn't generate enough orders to actually go through with the run. They supposedly lost the Disney and Simpsons licences (which is unfortuante, as their Mad Hatter and Mickey were great, I got those for my nephew) and I suspect the same happened with Animaniacs as I got the three Warner Brothers and a spare Pinky and the Brain set for him for Easter coming, but that was months ago and I haven't heard a thing about a Wave 2 since.
