You may test that assumption at your convinience.

Some good news: When he loses the election, it will more than likely be end of trump in american politics!

Some bad news: it will not be the end of "trumpism" in american politics.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and spending the rest of your lives voting like every election will be determinative like this one is. It's not enough to turn up this time, you all have to do it every time.

I have no hope that he'll be gone. He's going to grasp onto power and attention until he's expired from natural causes. If he's still alive in four years, he'll try to run again.

Separately, I'm pissed at myself for falling into the 2016 trap again. So many internet talking heads are saying that Kamala is obviously going to win, and I've started to believe it. I want my expectations to remain neutral. I don't want to believe it just because it's what I want.

The shenanigans are afoot in Pennsylvania, involving everyone's favorite copyright attorney, Leonard French:

And a follow up:

tldr; In the last few days, THOUSANDS of "batch complaints" were filed in Pennsylvania against US citizens living abroad claiming that, because they live abroad and are not military, their votes "don't count" or are illegal.

I would say better luck in 2028, but we know that is now extremely unlikely. America has been Putinised.

edit: the leader of the UK Liberal Democrats says it like it is…

I stayed up way too late last night and I'm glad I didn't stay up later. Nothing changed while I was asleep.
