Blockbuster was great for videogames.

It was amazing for games. Rent a game for a whole week for like what 5-7 bucks? Usually enough time to beat them and save yourself a nice chunk of change and still get to play it at release.

Games are expensive. There's a few I only bought because I was able to try them from Blockbuster for cheap first.

When Facebook changed its corporate name to “Meta”, it worked because the product was still Facebook. People STILL refer to the site as “Twitter” or “the site formerly known as Twitter”.

It's gross, because it took all this easily identifiable terminology and made it as generic as it could possibly be.
