Toys and Figurines Missing Link Arcee Prototype Shown In Color At T-Spark Zone 2025!

While Takara did show off a bunch of new Transformers at T-Spark Zone 2025, including Synergenex Macross 7 x Transformers Basara Convoy, we want to focus on the first reveal of a colored prototype of the Missing Link Arcee toy!

Thanks to Allspark member LordGigaIce for the heads up about these new in color images! Previously we had only seen this prototype in gray when it was shown to gauge interest. Now we have it in color among the next two toys of this line:

Fan reaction to this Arcee toy has been overwhelmingly positive, so let's hope that Takara will make this cool retro toy!

I have never thought that prototype was intended to be produced in those colors. Was I wrong?

That doesn't necessarily mean she shouldn't be made that way now.

Release it in Prototype colors first. Sell X copies. Release in Anime colors 9 months later, and sell even more to the same people.

They MIGHT get me twice. I'm not sure. The thing is, if the goal was to produce a G1 Arcee I would actually recommend starting from scratch. I don't really feel like this one fits and that is probably why she didn't get produced. The others likely have some craptastic early prototypes that are just as weird.

So for me the point of producing this is specifically to produce the craptastic Arcee proto. And these are the correct colors for that.

IDK, if they announce it in prototype and final colors, I might lean final just because she will look odd otherwise. If they only release this one in prototype colors, though, I still want it.
(I always figured a successful G1-style Arcee figure would borrow heavily from Blurr's transformation, myself, but I could definitely take this as a true "what might have been".)

Trying to "fix" this design, even if it's just the colors, would be missing the point. Maybe they can do animation colors at some point, but this version has to come first.
