So, there's some good news and some bad news regarding the US release of Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning on DVD and Blu-Ray.
The good news is we finally have a release date for it:
The bad news is, according Shout! Factory's website listing for it, it's going to be dub-only with no Japanese dialogue track or subtitles.

That's kind of an odd choice... IIRC Shout's previous Digimon releases of the Tri episodes as well as Last Evolution all included both Japanese and and Dub audio. Is it possible they just haven't announced all the disc features yet? The release is over 2 months away.

Okay, we have some more good news. ANN has confirmed that the Blu-Ray/DVD release will have the Japanese audio and subtitles in addition to the English dub.

so impmon has a new alternate evolutionary line and they're basically the wario to guilmon's evos (fun fact: impmon was originally going to be takato's partner digimon in digimon tamers early in development before they came up with guilmon, so this is a little production in-joke). also they're punk rock/heavy metal-themed and most of their attack names are old classic rock songs/band names
they basically made these guys for me specifically
RIP Dave Mallow, the English dub voices of Angemon/MagnaAngemon/Pegasusmon, the narrator of Adventure 1999, Upamon, Grani, and many other more minor roles.
I guess the Angels of the Digital Universe were calling him!

So DigimonCon 2025 popped off last night. The card game dominated the news of the night I would say with various new set reveals for the year. But also an upcoming Mobile Client game under the title of Digimon Alysion.

Honestly I get the feeling, but putting this out is a tease. Especially when it looks to fix the problems I had with all the previous movies a bit.

Digimon Adventure Beyond was announced as a short from the get-go. It was always going to be only a few minutes long.
