Can 45 be changed to 47 on the title?


The guy Trump picked to run the EPA thinks AI somehow figures into his role. Also he thinks America regaining Energy Dominance (whatever that means. We are currently producing the most oil we ever have, more than any other country, more than any other country ever has) and revitalizing the auto industry are part of his role. It's weird.

It's just weird because where you'd think they'd be like "The Left calls us Nazis because they are out of ideas", some of them just go "Yeah, what of it?"

I'm all for something snarky and critical for the Dem thread too. I'd suggest "At least we're not the other guy" but that might be too long. Or maybe "Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory"?

Trump has done nothing to deserve respect, IMHO. He stirs up fear and hatred, treats women as sex objects and only tells the truth twice a day.(Maybe this was posted in the wrong thread, though)

All I’m asking for is a bit of fairness in thread titles. It makes this place less welcoming for someone who doesn’t share a certain point of view. I try to treat all sides with respect. All opinions are welcome in my book and healthy debate is a good thing. I don’t think this name calling and “grab the pitchforks” attitude does anyone any good.

I’d say it never used to be like this, but maybe I just didn’t notice it when my politics leaned left. Who knows for sure? All I know is that I’m not someone who would treat anyone’s personal or political philosophy that way, whether they agree with me or not, and whether my side is in power or not.

I don’t think a little decorum is too much to ask.

I can't argue with you on the technicality. Legally, those are true based on the case awaiting sentencing. I'd prefer thread titles in this forum remain neutral though. I think it fosters more participation on all sides.

One bright spot in the gloom following the election was the guy on Reddit who was shocked that after months of his wife saying she would divorce him over his rabid Trump support, she actually served him with divorce papers.

He literally admitted that she'd been warning him about this for months, but he still claimed that this "came out of nowhere", because he didn't take her threats seriously.

All those people who hate DEI suddenly become super-supportive of it when the subject is white-supremacists who want to speak at top universities.

On that subject, they suddenly spout lines about the importance of DIVERSITY of opinions and the dangers of not INCLUDING everyone.

Call me crazy, but maybe "diversity of opinion" should not be used to justify the promotion of a guy who wants to end diversity.

Yes, Trump supporters were lied to, but they also consciously chose the lie.

On some level, they know it might be a lie. When people warn others not to look at any other media because nothing can be trusted outside the bubble, that's a sign of weakness. When people think that all news from outside the bubble (even from countries thousands of miles away) is part of some sort of evil cabal against your one truth, that's a sign of weakness. They're afraid to read news from outside the bubble.

They know on some level that it might be a lie, and they don't care. They choose the lie, because it makes them happy.

Stop condescendingly thinking that they were just duped. They chose this.

Trump doesn't deserve respect what a ridiculous argument. I don't want more participation from MAGAts.

As a trans person my life is actively in danger from this upcoming administration. Donald Trump is a fascist, a traitor and a worthless sack of holes and fecal matter.

I'm a cis-gender English guy sitting halfway around the world from most users here, and I don't want them here either. I absolutely do not want people of any minority group to feel threatened or unsafe while using this forum.
