Just been watching the latest ep of the daily life of a middle aged online shopper in another world, this was a good ep, I know the title is rather long, buts its a good series, about a man who transported to a fanstasy world, but he not any hero, but he gained a mysterious shopping power and sets about starting up a business and his goods, catch the eye of a major trading company head daughter, all our MC wants to do is live a slow peaceful life, but things aren't going as planned! This latest ep, is the end of the first arc of the series, where he sets out on a new jorreny acompanied by what's called a Bob Cat, which to the cat beast folk, is a avatar of their god, yet its also a wild creature and our MC has befriended it after saving its life. While most of these types of series, our MC starts building a hearm, he not, but by ep 5 he got a girl who genuinely intersted in him as a person and a child that he has taken as his daughter/ward! Its just a genuine fun entertaining series, not to serious, its light hearted yet also has some tention moments as our MC has this shopping abilty that no one else has and he ends up earning a lot of money, thou he also buys some pricy items, such as a pickup truck, a digger, but there is reason behind buying them!

So thus far:

Mashin Creator Wataru is hitting all the right notes. Instead of having ranbow-themed areas, they're chasing after ranbow-colored blocks(which fits the minecraft-ness of the world they're using).. and yes, they did make a Dragonball reference when i was revealed there were 7 of them. It's kind of fitting anyways considering Toriyama created the original Wataru cast himself. Either way it's a fun MotW show with each enemy being based on some kind of clickbait video. So far we had someone that forces you to subscribe, someone that does stupid stuff for clicks, someone who just makes constant videos on gossip whether it's true or not, someone who constantly pranks people for videos, someone who does all sorts of song challenges(and also referenced NIcoNico and Hatsune Miku), and this week we had someone who constantly posts insincere apology videos.

The Red Ranger isekai(I refuse to type out the whole title) is so far sticking to the manga, with the appropriate touches, and looks like it'll end at around the halfway point, so they are definitely leaving room for a season 2... though they spoil one of the late story surprises in the current ending credits for some reason, so I'd say they're pretty sure they'll get it. Really enjoying the appropriate added touches like insert songs for Maximum Kizuna Kaiser and Red's transformation, flashbacks even having episode numbers to go with the scene(and the fact all his former comrades are voiced by former sentai actors), and so on. It looks like we're about to hit the arc with the Kamen Rider expy next week.

Aquarion MOE is... there I guess? It's entertaining but solidly mid so far. So far it hasn't gone off the rails enough to truly feel like an Aquarion show, but we'll see how it goes I guess. There's still plenty of room between that scene with the broken pillar in space leading to the CGI People dimension scene hinting that there's something going on there, and the whole universe merging thing with the hidden world council and all.

This week's Sentai Red Isekai episode was the first anime-original one, but it was mostly a Kizuna Five episode with some storytelling bits wrapped around it. And soooo many cameos....

I just been watching the latest ep of Momentary Lily, the basic premise is a sort of post disaster world, where giant robots walk around and seemingly erase people from existance, the story is following five girls as they surive and have various types of food and ocasonally fighting off these giant robots with the mysterios weapons they been given, as this series goes on, it first turns into a bit of a road trip minus an actual vehicle, but then things start to get more mysterious as the show goes on as one of the cast has lost her memories, yet starts having flashbacks of "a life" she finds out a distrubing fact upon finding her family but this latest ep, things get weirder by far

Zenshu ended today, and I loved it. Beautiful animation all the way through, fun characters good story. I will be looking to buy a physical copy the moment it's available.

Well, we got the announcement for the Chainsaw Man movie release date!
The film will launch in theatres in Japan on September 19, 2025.

There was no new trailer, alas.

That's okay, thanks to the usual suspects I have an idea of what to expect....

I not watched that series, been watching other stuff, such as: I left my A rank party to help my students reach the Dungeon Depth!

This is a fairly desent show, at first glance it might seem like one of those build a harem type anime, but the girls aren't really in love with our MC as he more their teacher, well, three of the party are his former students, sure its not flashy and that but it has some heart, the basic plot is our MC is basically kicked out of his A rank party because the leader believes him incompedent and full of himself with surposely a full vote done by the other three members, but of course that party then begins to suffer the consquences, while our MC is recuirted to join his former students in a party and travel into a dungeon, but one thing about this world, via the use of a magical tool, widely avaiable, they can stream or record their adventure into the dungeons and there is promotional things to go along with it, for more sucessful parties and of course, due to the nature of these types of series, the MC has to confront his old party and lets just say what happens to the leader of that party, is a fate worse than death itself and a personal hell bought on by their own stupidy!

Oh the girls are into him. Two of them have made it obvious now. And now they added another in that has some feelings for him. But interesting enough this is at least a two cour show it seems. CR is advertising it going into Spring.

Anichart lists A-Rank Adventurer as 24 episodes.

My roommate and I are watching it. He pointed out there is a sixth girl in the new ending credits. So it seems we've got one more member of Clover to come.

Well first season of the Red Ranger isekai looks to be ending on the Amen/desert elf arc, which was about what we expected based on the OP. They could probaly get 2 mroe seasons out of what's still to come, if they can get it greenlit.

Wataru meanwhile finished their initial macguffin collection, and just dove headfirst into the drama... and midseason upgrades probably. I may have to watch next week's episode first now, after Gavv, rather than the Red Ranger isekai, since I really want to find out what happens now given the events in this week's ep, regarding the fate of a couple characters.

The desert arc of the Red Ranger series has been kind of, meh, not as good as the arc before it, but generally its a fairly desent series to watch, another this season I would recomend a watch is: The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World, its a fairly entertaining series to watch, our MC is pretty much trying to avoid attention and enjoy life after getting transported to another world and has a power that enables him to do shopping and bring objects from our world over to this new world, so things he acquired are:
Two digger, one small and one big
A Motorbike
A car/people carrier

Of course for these vehicles, one still needs fuel and he cannot shop around thou he figures out a cheeper option

Welp:

Aquarion has some nice tiebacks at the end, but it really felt like as a whole it landed with a resounding meh. Ignoring any visual quibbles(and the old comics style cut-ins was legitimately neat) it felt more like Evangelion with Aquarion trappings than like Aquarion itself, and with very little new to the table. It was sorely lacking in giant robot over the top attack shenanigans, among other things.

Sentai Red left the teasers for the next parts of the story, and even threw a scene in there that people reading the manga had been wondering on(Namely, wouldn't the team he left behind notice their mechs and weapons getting summoned elsewhere all the time) plus the nice touch of the anime-original friend joining the team as a real Kizuna Black or Kizuna Brown. Unfortunately, I don't know if we'll se a season 2 anytime soon given there was apparently an official image with Red holding flowers. For those unfaimilar with sentai or rider, when an actor is done filming, they're given flowers and there's usually a picture taken. That seems to suggest Satelite isn't plannign a S2 right now, but if they do decide to go through with it, they'll have plenty of material.

Wataru did indeed give us the midseason upgrade, and given what happened with a couple of the characters, I'm curious to see if we get a brand new opening in the next episode or two, after the other midseason upgrade shows up. Kind of funny though that so far none of the placeholder Mashin in the opening have actually shown up from what I can tell. Also the new Ryuohmaru, pulled a lot of the classic Ryujinmaru's attacks during its debut, which was a nice touch given so far we'd only seen the sword attack and nohting else from this Ryujinmaru.

Just finished the new Devil May Cry anime

It was bleeping awesome.

Definitely a different telling. Lady's backstory is different. We got a DMC4 boss alongside a DMC3 boss, and even one from DMC1.

Pretty sure the shapechanging guy was a new one for the anime. Unless he was in Five or something. I never did finish that one. (I really should but V just sucks to play as)

Didn't expect to see Lucia as a cameo.

REALLY excited to see if this gets another season, as we end on a cliffhanger.

All in all it's much better than the previous anime we got. There is an episode that is nearly nothing but music. No dialogue until a very important part. It's just great.
Hopefully like the Castlevania anime, it gets a bluray release, because I freaking WANT this on my shelf.

Some Easter Eggs (nothing plot important, that I know of) that I caught beyond the DMC franchise. I’m only up to episode…5?
The Darkcom elite soldiers are wearing suits VERY evocative of Captain Commando, to the point of being obvious homages.
Dante owns a Street Fighter 2 arcade machine and one of the Darkcom drivers had a Mega Man bobble ornament in his vehicle.
Dante once took a job at a little place called Raccoon City. Apparently, he considers it one of the worse jobs he’s ever done.
Despite his mad dance skillz, Dante isn’t that great at DDR (a thinly veiled copycat was seen early on).

I just watched the conclusion of Aquarion: Myth of Emotions and it was a ok finally but the series overall wasn't great, it was clear that the budget for the show was poured into the Flashbacks to 12 thousand years ago or whatever time frame it was, the characters were generally rather bland, the pacing felt all over the place and the conflict was not exactly well inspired, but its the shortest Aquarion series to date and the second weakest entry in the series, with the last one being the weakest that it was completely forgettable and I think this one will be forgotten in due course.
