It is the year 2005...
Here's one of my earliest (digital) toy pics: when my TFs actually got a shelf of their own in our new house.
Things may have gotten a bit carried away over the subsequent years...
Finally just had to get a whole new house
Let this be a warning to you! :ROFLMAO:
It's semantics, but we have a current instance of a retail partner pulling out of a plan with Target changing their minds about the Buzzworthy entrants. It's entirely possible it was FAO's management that said "Yeah, we can't take this on amidst all the other issues we're having." Once they...
Metroplex is tiny compared to the others, so I wouldn't pay $200 for him. I have the Encore Reissue Fort Max and the reissue Trypticon, so don't need them. So that leaves just Scorponok for me which - sure. That being said, BBTS sold Fort Max for $399 back in 2012 (though of course it was...
This is so trippy because I guess that's Colonel Potter on the left, but he almost looks more like Father Mulcahy than Mulcahy does. Looking at pics of these figures on line and the facial sculpts are really impressive - better than Kenner Star Wars for the most part!
I'm inclined to be a bit more generous in light of what their current goals seem to be. I loved the Combiner Wars combiners and their system, but there were some necessary compromises made in order for limb interchangeability, and those compromises directly affected the aesthetics.

I'm pretty sure the Transformers pics are someone's private collection set up like a store display (notice the Ikea shelves to the right in the first pic - also that it's labeled "20th Century Toy Collector").
Still an effective point of course. The toy aisles of yore were a sight to behold.
I don't understand how they're doing "new" runs on Snarl since we have yet to see the first run right? I mean, I've had mine preordered at EE since he was announced.
It was wild to me how big a difference that makes - watching the trailer the first time, it took a few beats before the TVA even clicked for me since they didn't look "right".
It would be very Deadpool for them to actually mimic the show's look while in the TVA and for him to notice and remark...
I'm convinced (with absolutely zero reason beyond the obvious), that Cybertronian Wheeljack was supposed to be Ratchet and wires got crossed somewhere in the early animation process.
