The 2007 movie brought with it the biggest wave of HOW DARE THIS BE DIFFERENT FROM G1 in... well, ever, really, since unlike Beast Wars it was mainstream-ish news. Barricade in particular was subject to a lot of people really mad at the existence of a Transformer police car who wasn't Prowl...
We got "Laser Cycle," so I'm optimistic.
And then Hasbro makes a two-pack of Arcee/Road Rocket as Armada Sideways and Crashbar/Road Pig as G1 Axer (or perhaps his motorcycle).
I realize that sounds like a monkey's paw joke but I actually would really like that.
Man. Finding spots for Guardian symbols on these guys was tough. The triangles can't cover an Autobot or Decepticon symbol unless there's a huge size difference, and they don't have much front-facing flat real estate besides that. (You can see On Smallfoot I just gave up.)
I really wish this...
Not quite the only one. I always felt like people were suddenly a lot more willing to let little things slide, accept the story on its own terms, etc. now that it was about Beverly and Worf instead of Jurati and Elnor.
Ah, yes, so that we could then instead complain that it was a completely pointless toy because the original did all the same things and was slightly bigger.
I'm going to take us into deranged suggestion territory and say that, now that we've seen Lego's take on Transformers, we should get Hasbro's take on Lego vehicles.
Chris McFeely pointed out that the new Ruckus doesn't actually match the photo that was on TFWiki--in comparison to the TFWiki/Seibertron photo, both the deco on the arms and the sculpted shock absorbers on the knees (which are also based on a sticker on the original toy) are "upside down."
I like The Motor Master, but unfortunately(?) this will not translate into a purchase as I already have the Botcon one and feel no particular need to own two of him.
Not at the same pricepoint, at least. Make a Core version and we'll talk.
One of the reasons I didn't expect a G1-colored Mainframe to ever happen was that his altmode only has any meaning in Ark colors. This is certainly a solution, and it doesn't look nearly as bad as I'd imagine if you described it to me, but I can't shake the mental image of a kid who's taken off...
