BotCon 2022 Nashville, TN August 25-28

This seems like quite a savvy move. Chinese company 52toys have been quietly making waves with their BeastBox/MegaBox lines for a while now and are not only very collaboration-friendly (with guest designers like former Takara designer Alex Kubalsky and Japanese metalwork artist Yuki Tsuboshima...

He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

Flat - is it weird that I prefer that one even though the seller had both? I'll still grab a roundback at some point though as I love the character. Just grabbed a painted-back Tung Lashor - that was a variant that I knew I wanted. No accessories, but he was the most pristine Tung Lashor I'd...

He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

That's exactly why I tried out the vintage stuff with Two-Bad and Leech over more expensive figures (The overarching reasons are the base colours and that I love the weirder monstrous dudes in MOTU). They're so plentiful on eBay that they were super cheap, even with their accessories included...

Picked up my first vintage figures! Love them both 🥰

    Allsparker Telly has passed away

I’m not an active forum user anywhere, really, but the Allspark was the closest I ever felt to an online “home”, and Telly was very much part of that home’s furniture. I didn’t know him in any personal manner, but from his posting he always felt like an authentic and human presence online, and I...

I’ve found it helps if you forego pushing the truck bed down QUITE as far as it feels like it wants to go. It ends up looking like it’s made of a more appropriate amount of right angles whilst still holding together fine.

Thanks! I picked up Fisto and Tri-Klops at around UK retail (£15 each) and Ricky Steamboat was an eBay best offer of £22, but the real shock was finding Super7 Mer-Man for £20. The owner of a UK online hobby store realised he had one in stock despite the site saying out-of-stock and rectified...

Missed this, sorry. The small differences like his bare feet/arms and long hair leave the Savage He-Man figure rocking the topless look a lot better in my view. It gave me the motivation to see how this looks, though.

They Haven't Made a Toy of This Yet?

I remember thinking that an unstickered Arms Micron Wheeljack could make for a fun stand-in. (Pics pinched from Maz and the wiki respectively)

Introducing one half of the The Most Powerful Tag Team in the Universe... ...the Undisputed Clamp-ion... ...the Clamp-lifier... ...if he was a mushroom he'd be, er, Clamp-ignon... ...HE-CLAMP!!! ...but seriously, I wish this didn't involve leaving my Masterverse He-Man looking somewhat...

After snagging most of what I'm after from Origins (I'm just pretending the Powercon Horde set doesn't exist 😅) I've been looking into the WWE crossover figures. Sadly, it seems that the figures I decided I wanted (Ricky Steamboat/The New Day/The Rock) never came out in the UK BUT it seems like...

Well, my Origins collection suddenly expanded beyond just Mer Man... 😅 Picked up this two-pack, too, as I always liked the Energy Zoids and wanted to check out something affordable from Classics.

Ah, interesting; I'll have to blame my years of instantly casting aside Transformers paperwork for that one! We only get the standard carded figures where I am - I wasn't even aware that there was another pricepoint until just now.

More Dino Shout, because he's one of my favourite kinds of weird.

I’d say that’s more modularity (unless there are ways to construct vast eldritch body horror nightmares from several figures) but I just pulled his arm off and yes you’re completely right. I only ever see them on card in store and it doesn’t seem to be called out as a feature on the packaging...

Just because he's not wearing trousers doesn't mean he's pooping - we've been through this altogether too many times, Sabrblade. Must I always put the little trousers on him to clarify that? It's rather a tiresome process.

He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

I don't generally buy any toys that aren't transformable, modular or buildable in some manner, so I've just been enjoying Origins from a distance. ...at least until I saw this happy little chap beaming up at me from the peg and just had to bring him home. Also, that CGI series was an...
