Ideally, he'll be Stark disguised as a Doombot from an Earth ruled by Doctor Doom and he'll end up in the main MCU to resume the mantle of Iron Man. But I doubt that'll happen.

How about if GI Joe and the Earth Corps team up to stop Cobra from unleashing Metlar at the volcano, triggering the eruption that wakes up the Ark? Bonus points if Synergy is somehow created using Cybertronian technology.

Defenders of this move will probably say that the MCU changed Ultron's origins too, among other things. So this should be totally okay.

Not to mention Trump backing out of the Iran Deal and imposing new sanctions in 2018.

Adapting the existing Kang scripts is probably why they did this. They just subbed in Doom and decided to make him a Stark-variant. I won't be surprised if even more Stark-variants show up too.

Can Evil Iron Man work as a big bad? Absolutely. I'd be down for that. But not at the expense of Doctor Doom. He should be a completely separate and distinct character in his own right. I mean, I get why they're doing this, but I don't have to like it. It's even worse than what Iron Man 3...

I'd rather see Doom, not mirror-universe Stark. This smacks of both desperation and laziness.

I think I'm done with the MCU now. The multiverse killed it.
