I got Bumblebee. I don't plan on going crazy on this line, as much fun as it is, but I wanted to get at least one and BB seemed like a good entry point. Would have been happier at around $30, but that extra $10 won't break me.
Episode 1 is bad, but not as bad as it's often portrayed as. If it originally came out at a time like now when there are 15 different Star Wars things all going on at once, it would be considered a mediocre if forgettable movie.
But because it was the first "real" new Star Wars media released...
Ah! That's the first thing I've heard that seems likely. Probably a Rodimus retool, I would guess, unless it would be a reuse of one of the upcoming 13 Primes figures.
But both Xaaron and Scrounge have yellow arms, not orange.
I'm guessing it's another Leader class mold. Trying to think of any recent leader classes that could possibly have this sort of deco and had notable appearances in the comics.
There are a couple of "just a normal car, but it's a custom mold" Mattel Creations up on their site that are $70, so I guess it's not totally out of line. Still feels way too high for me, though.
Hmm, you're right. I was 100% sure that it would be Blaster, but the hand color is wrong. Maybe it's Hot Rod / Rodimus and they'll do a Galvatron to go with him?
I also already have the Netflix Soundwave, but mine is pretty badly yellowed. I wouldn't be opposed to picking up another, especially if it FINALLY comes with Buzzsaw.
It's not a bad Bumblebee, but definitely not better than the ones I already have.
But, give me this exact toy with a Bumper head, or repainted into Glyph or Wasp or something, and I'm all over it.
I definitely like the look, as I love tinier versions of things I already have, but that $80 price tag is a little extreme.
I do wonder if he's compatible with the trailer from the vehicle mode Optimus from earlier.
Yeah, I'm definitely getting him because I'll buy any cassette they want to make. That said, he looks like he would be considered a great accessory if he came with Blaster, but he's a bit lackluster as a standalone. Skipping the speaker and giving him independently hinged feet and/or knees to...
I'll probably buy this set, mostly for the Rock Lord and cassette. I do like this Thundertron's hook hand and the fact that he has a new head, but I wish his color scheme was different so that he would be useable as a new character in addition to the Thundertron I have.
