Especially if you consider the cartoon to be marketing. I loved Challenge of the Gobots, but it was no Sunbow Transformers. But yes, as a kid, any and all transforming robots were accepted at playtime. I wish the whole "who has the rights to Gobots designs" thing wasn't so complicated so...

I don't care much for "mysticism" in Transformers. I don't mind Unicron and Primus, and the idea that all the Transformers have Sparks that are a piece of Primus, but I've never been a fan of the pantheon of 13 original Primes or the Point One Percenters or that some sort of crazy mad science...

I'll agree that it's at best a "pretty ok" Lockdown. An ideal Lockdown would be tall and lithe. Like the original, a deluxe that unfolds into a surprisingly tall robot. But this mold was always pretty clearly made to serve as a base for a future Lockdown, so I'm not surprised in the slightest.

I don't know that it's been confirmed, but I'm pretty sure it was on one of the lists of leaked figures some time back? I may be 100% misremembering, though.

He shouldn't have been in the shot, to be honest. Him I got on clearance at the Walmart next door to the hotel while grabbing some water. He's a fun figure, even with the concessions of a Warrior class toy. I'm curious what the upcoming Deluxe version will be like.
