The way they've written Megatron's bio makes it sound like he's going to be a wild card in this story rather than the main antagonist: skilled and capable enough that the main characters could possibly decide to go to him for assistance, but crafty enough to believe that he could have ulterior...
Derp, I completely forgot that Cyb Metroplex's box had the work mode advertised on it. =P I guess I was going more on what Zephyr said - that the mode never really showed up on the show in any meaningful capacity.
*cries in I will never own this* T_T
I'm a sucker for cool 'knight in shining armor' types, so this dude being out of my reach unless I very likely fork over absurd amounts of money saddens me. =( It makes me wish that Saber got to be the fan vote for PotP instead of Primal, just so there was...
Almost makes me want to head to Hasbro's doorstep and shout "the Siege/Earthrise Datsun-esque mold is right there." =P
New heads, maybe brand-new deco layouts so they don't look so similar to Prowl, not Selects releases... I'd probably cave and get seven like I did the PRiD Vehicons.
Also...
Took me a bit (again) to realize which G2 toy that Optimus at the bottom is supposed to be. =P
We need more Transformers with farm equipment alt-modes - then put matching redecoes of them in a 'farm life' box set or something. XD
Ah, I meant this Wheelie seems worse in the sense of somehow being blockier than his G1 counterpart. Legacy Skids' alt mode already looks boxier than his G1 version - Legacy Wheelie here has a curvy G1 alt mode to work with, and they still manage to make him blocky in robot mode. =/
......How are they continuing to find ways to make the toys look blockier than G1? Wheelie here is somehow worse too, since his vehicle mode is made of curves!
I feel like Classified Breaker could make for a decent 'generic' Joe body. But yeah, generics for most of the represented franchises would be a cool addition to this project (and perhaps another way for army-builders to gather troops... if not for the price, at least =P).
I'm surprised there...
Man, imagine Toxitron out of this mold with bright neon green for all the translucent parts - and, if what others are saying about the G2 Optimus mold is true, leaving some sections of the torso unpainted to let said neon green plastic peek through, like the radioactive sludge inside him is...
I know the original Override show and toy designs weren't meant to be a female character from the ground up, but I was kind of hoping that this new version would take some liberties and make her silhouette more feminine. It doesn't need to be an in-your-face look like... well, most of the G1...
Okay, that's kind of disappointing that several of the '2D' characters (Chip, Gangster?Peter Pan) just look either cel-shaded 3D or rotoscoped from 3D models instead of being full-2D animation. =/ Also, I just realized a Disney character that I'm kind of surprised hasn't shown up even as a cameo...
I'm really hoping those (kind of high-up on the legs) AIR Lock attachment points mean there's a base mode of some kind that we can't see right now since otherwise, this is very much "screen-accurate character" like many of the G1-based toys since Earthrise, just focused more on size accuracy...
