I've always been a big Mega Man fan, but with all due respect idk if I'm into most of the ideas mentioned thus far. (A Rush that transforms into the MM6 armored Mega Man would be make sense though, and the colors for that version are perfect for it. But Mega Man turning INTO Rush... Eh.)...
I'd somehow never noticed this about Legacy United's G1 toy OwOptimus Prime.
And now, every time I look at that head sculpt and see the wide eyes and faceplate blushing vent lines, that may be all I see.
Collaborative seems more like the venue to take, say, a Wily ship and make a robot out of it. Or the Yellow Devil, in an Optimus Primal sort of biped-to-biped situation.
I did like the way that the back treads ended up as a "have I mentioned that I'm on fire all the time?" billboard.
Also, man, I'm back to wishing they'd have heavy-retooled Siege Megatron into the Stormbringer-era design. That probably would've been too much for the budget of the Fractured...
I think the lack of fiction is a big part of it. There's just not much to talk about since the main show G2 got was G1 with a gimmicky overlay. The comic was comparatively niche (but would get discussed), and most other stuff was even more so.
People could discuss the toys, and fan fiction...
Yup, the altmode and most of the robot mode is very Impactor. Things end up in the same places. It's just the back-mounted treads in robot mode that are particularly Siege Megatron.
It's partly fatigue and partly because even for those of us who want the usual characters, well... We have them now already.
Part of it is also just having wanted the obscuros forever for one reason or another. The 90s were around the time I could first more directly experience Transformers...
It's nice, and the mold is good-looking enough to wear any colors well. But if we're getting anything retooled into Stalker, I agree Doubledealer has to be it.
I REALLY wish they'd do a Pepsi Prime conversion set for Earthrise. It seems like a simple enough thing to paint, but not that simple.
I think the Armada Megatron option makes more sense than Kingdom Galvatron. Tank mode, bulky and squarish, greebly. As opposed to the rounded shapes that arr all over the G1 Galvatron design. Maybe they can change the tall tread shoulders but the rest works.
I could even see the Siege Megs...
